Looks like available for pick up in some stores. I know it’s not the US version still seems cheap for 65 inch quantum dot.
Price $796
The A7G is also the same price but that isn’t really that special

I cannot believe it’s 2022 and people still depend on in-built tv operating systems.
If you find GCwGT laggy, then you'll definitely find any tv-built-in android tv implementation laggy. They are not embedding nvidia shields.
@tor: I've got a J series Sony that is no worse than my GCwGT. Neither are great, but that was kind of my point. I keep seeing all these recommendations to just use a Chromecast, but they don't seem any better than the built-in ones?
@noisymime: Sony is probably the exception here; most other vendors have sluggish android tv UI.
I guess because in 2019 I bought a TV that had all the apps, was very very fast, and very reliable. 3 years later I would expect the same to be true… Not have to buy more products to just use apps.
What TV and OS? I made the mistake of shelling out for Hisense with Android TV built in, but yep, it is horribly slow.
@swanny246: LG C9 65”
I can't imagine wanting anything offered by an external box that isn't included with my Android TV on my three year old Bravia. Works great.
Does it matter though? Much better sticking a Chromecast on it anyway.
I bought the 55A7G couple months ago, and the OS is actually quite good. I own firetv and google Chromecast but have been relying solely on the Hisense apps since I bought it. Only apps that use which is missing is paramount+
Agreed. OS is solid, seemless and very fast.
I've always used a windows based media centre with all my TV's but tempted to switch or use both.
Pretty sure I saw Paramount+ in the app store when playing around last night.
Might be new..
Edit, must have been smoking something, just checked again and can't find it.
Strangely, Paramount claim it's available on Vidaa. Might be region specific.
https://help.paramountplus.com/s/article/PD-How-can-I-stream…
Edit 2:
Found it!
Under the Plex App
Settings
Streaming Services
Paramount+ is listed under 'Popular Services', just need to select.
@illz: Found it too, but I don't use Plex and no idea how to log in to P+ (I'm using my partner account which is different than the Plex account I created)
@ShouldIBuyIt: Yeah, won't link within Plex anyway..
:/
@illz: Activating that just means Plex thinks you have P+ and so will present a P+ icon when it returns search hits for content available on it, and show P+ content in the Discover tab as being available to you.
It will not install P+.
This is a strength. Give me a top notch panel NOT smart please!! I am just about to get the motherboard replaced in my existing android tv as it is just too slow. Chromecast with remote all the way. I'd buy this panel. Good share OP.
Decent price if you can find one. Nothing showing 200km within brisbane cbd though…
Same with Melbourne cbd…
It’s availble for c&c in Altona North
Ditto for Canberra too
No stock in WA
C&C at the distribution centre in Welshpool
Must have got lucky, got one at Oxley this afternoon.
Had this delivered on the weekend. Definitely good value at the price, haven't seen anything else that really competes with the feature set. I'm using it with a Google TV dongle. Can't say that the benefits of ULED or QLED are that noticeable. Blacks are ok. Brightness is ok. I find it still struggles in sunny room with reflections. I'm probably a bit harsh as I'm comparing to my LG BX oled.
Seems to handle sports well, watched some AFL and the Wimbledon which all looked good.
WOW
Bought this on the weekend - on backorder for 3-4 weeks
r/4ktv and r/hometheatre do not recommend buying Hisense TVs in 2022 according to this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/comments/ukrs2i/home…)
Different models/feature set in AU anyway
Picked one up today. Very happy.
Great TV
Don't buy hisense TV OS in Australia. They ship with their own OS VIDAA which is absolute crap when it comes to app support. IN other regions Hisense TV ships with google tv or android tv but here in aus we get the crappy VIDAA
Just stick in a Chromecast/Fire TV/Apple TV/NVIDIA Shield. TV operating systems are pretty crap.
I guess certain ones are, LG WEB OS has been flawless to me, stopped using my Chromecast.
LG Web OS, on my new C1, has been the slowest UX I’ve ever used.
@doot: Oh ouch. On my c9 it’s been incredible!! So much faster and way more reliable. Using the wand remote and the apps has been such a pleasure. Also having the recently watched shows and apps right there means one click and it opens the app and starts the show.
Does the c1 have a bad cpu or something?
@onlinepred: The C1 CPU is underwhelming from what I understand. The C2 is much better.
This is an exaggeration I just got a U8G as faulty a replacement and was worried because I kept hearing this but vidaa is fine. A couple of years down the track maybe not but I've still got my fire and Chromecast in a box. It's fine and at this price point even more so
Agree - I used a Chromecast because Vidaa didn't have Disney+ but they have updated it.
I picked up a 65U8G last weekend and the VIDAA setup on its passable
My previous Hisense needed the CCWGTV but for now we're doing okay with the apps that come with it plus FreeView for the few things that arent available
I actually find the interface quicker/smoother than CCWGTV
And loving the TV as well
That's not true as per comments above. Hisense is perfectly fine in 2021/2022
I bought a 75" Hisense in 2019 and it came with Vidaa. The only apps we use are Netflix, Youtube, and Prime and all three continue to work fine three years later.
Sure, vidaa is not great, but it's only a TV, I don't expect too much.
rtings.com gives it overall good scores, but notes the bad viewing angles. Is there anything else in this price bracket that has similar image quality but with better viewing angles?
That's not for Aussie spec. We get worse here this year
Hisense give us inferior models every year.
Are the U series better than the A series? And if so, a lot better?
I believe so. The U7G uses Quantum Dot 4K screen and full array dimming, whereas the A7G uses a standard 4K panel. U7G has an extra HDMI input too (4 vs 3). Take the U series where available of course, but I bought the A series a couple of months ago at this price (U series wasn’t this cheap then) as a TV for the bedroom, and honestly can’t fault it. You’re good either way IMO, but if you can get the I series of course you’d take it.
Thanks!
Binglee has it for $795 tiny bit cheaper and it is in stock at heaps of places in sydney
https://www.binglee.com.au/products/hisense-55u7g-55-u7g-ule…
That’s 55”
Sorry guys
I own this TV and think it’s great. It doesn’t compare to tvs triple the cost but looks better than most which are double the cost
The Hisense TV I bought in 2019 last year started exhibiting a blotchy dark area on the top, and a few months ago started turning off at random. Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after a lot longer. Would not recommend.
Bought an Hisense 10years ago and still going strong to date. YMMV hence your opinion doesn't really matter
In that case, neither does yours. I was simply stating my experience with a Hisense TV. I'm well aware that the majority are probably fine, but I would be very hesitant to buy a Hisense TV after my experience.
Fair enough, but discarding the whole brand because you had 1 bad experience is a bit farfetched.
Having said that, our Sony TV which costed $4k died out of the blue. I had Sony camera and phone failing on me just after warranty too and customer service was pretty poor for the premium we paid. Hisense costs a fraction of Sony. Would buy Hisense over Sony any days.
@ShouldIBuyIt: As consumers, we can choose to throw away a whole brand. If we didn't speak with our wallets, we'd be taken advantage of significantly more than we are.
Is anyone able to get it delivered or in store only as when I put in my address or parents, it keeps saying I need to remove the item from the basket
It’s a strange system that’s easy to misinterpret. It shows as delivery available if I set my store or location to the suburb where the stock is, but if I then try and change delivery address to my house 90kms away, for which this store is nearest, all of a sudden it’s unavailable for delivery and not in stock. At the price it’s worth just doing a click and collect from the store IMO, depending on how far away you live I suppose.
Worth driving to Bathurst or Albury for? Hmmm….
0 stock in VIC. WTF lol\
I've just visited JBHifi at Roseland and ordered one , I bought the 75" version ( both 65 and 75 have refresh rate 100 Hz ..) , after a bit of talking , the price 's gone down by 20 dollars , not much but to cover some of the delivery fee ( $59 ) , the sale man ask me when I am home , it will deliver the TV , plenty in stock at the warehouse.
How much was the 75"?
Sorry late answer it is $1176 the 65 in is more value but I need a bigger one.
Just picked mine up from JBHifi in Coffs Harbour an hour ago. According to staff 4 left at JB in Coffs and 1 in Albury.
Great tv for the price, bought for $995 from jb with free delivery. Wish i could get one at this price but no stock anyway so i dont wanna complaint. Very happy with mine atm
Were you able to scan for all the channels on yours?
Yes, all the main ones: 7,9,10, sbs.. not sure if i miss out any as i dont watch tv channels often. I watch more of netflix and disneyplus.
This was a super hot special!
Tried to go to JB Nunawading VIC and prepurchase or buy this when they come in stock and they said NO.
Now the same TV is like $1395.00 how crazy is that! This is like Crypto gain and loss swings………
Anyone have an issue with not being able to get channel 10 for this TV?
is not an android tv
