      I think a camera that automatically optical zooms and pans after detecting motion would be great. Probably only has to be 720p/1080p and the quality would be great.

    My garage has 3 street facing devices on it at the moment from previous owners:
    - outdated 720p camera (wifi connected)
    - bunnings led dual head floodlight
    - outdated outdoor light (on/off switch)

    With this ring cam, I'm replacing all 3 with a single device.

    Ring ecosystem is fine for me, already have the doorbell which works well, namely getting this for the cloud storage and ease of use regarding scheduling the floodlights + sensitivity.

    Current floodlights go off far too much (even after adjusting sensitivity, lux and positioning) - they're just dumb devices unfortunately.

    Looked at wireless bridging and getting a POE camera for the garage, easy to do, but just extra cost and hassle.

    Camera is there to be a deterrent primarily, not going to spend hours each month dissecting footage.

    Same here. Any half decent cameras appearing on OzB for $50 bucks can feed back the video.
    I just need decent lighting around it
