After two years, the rate will increase by 0.4% but you can refinance to another financial institution to get a better deal.

  Hey OP, any news from westpac for the new 0.5% rise today?
  Your rebate, is that pro-rate? I got roughly 470k mortgage, would be gutted to be in the 250k window (only $500). Any clawback if refinancing after 12-18 months if still using your service?

    After two years the discount rate adds 0.4% so for the remaining 23 years the rate would be 3.04% (after two years at 2.64%).
