It's funny hey. The premium reputation this brand once had is completely trashed - all by eshays. I'm also seeing way too many Louis Vuitton bags these days being worn by middle class people trying to communicate their status ambitions. They have upped their price a lot to deter people but it's not working.
Premium brands need to watch closely at those sabotaging it these days.
People are dumb enough to buy these craps. Live paycheck to paychecks and then complain that you are broke. Welcome to my generation.

Elaborate? That's like saying high-end brands like Gucci and LV are trashed by fake products.
Trashed by consumer behaviour which ruins the image of the brand - like eshays buying TH and middle class buying high end bags - people pay big money for the exclusivity.

@rustproofhydra: Cool story. Their polo shirts are still good IMO, have a good slim fit and hold their shape well. When on special they're not that expensive. There has always been garish streetwear clothing. What's different bow is certain lines that are routinely deeply discounted and lower quality and a general reduction in the overall quality. If there wasn't the prices would be even higher. They've gone for a broader market hurting their image with some. Others just want something that will last and be of reasonable quality.
In the US a few years back Tommy was not a great deal cheaper than here unless you got it on discount.

Honestly most of my shirts are from this brand and I normally get them for like $30 quality feels similar to my RL but without the premium price. Also far better than things like van Heusen etc. I just use these for my work shirts.
