Musclepharm Combat Chocolate Protein Powder 2.72 kg $49.97 Delivered @ Costco Online (Membership required)

100

Costco are clearing these out. Don't know what the usual price is but it seems like a decent price for almost 3kg of this protein powder. Only the one flavour choice.

Costco also have some other last chance items today including a couple of expensive whiskeys and a long garden hose. I'd probably jump on the garden hose if we didn't already have a good one. We could do with a 50m hose. Could be other deals in there. They added quite a few new items today.

Gardena Premium SuperFLEX Hose 50m $99.97
Mortlach 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch 700 ml $899.97
Lagavulin 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2020 Special Release 700 ml $179.97

Feel free to post separately if these are banging deals. Title can only fit so much.

71% protein seems a bit low, wonder how it tastes/mixes. Could be a decent option given how many whey sellers have upped prices by 50-100%

    • 35g scoop containing 25g protein, that is close to most brands.

Musashi is 33g with 24.4g protein.
ON is 30.4g with 24g protein.

It's easier to compare as percentages rather than serving sizes

        Usually 80ish% is ideal

    • Haven't tried this one before but there don't seem to be any decent protein powder deals these days. Had a look through protein powder deals posted in the last few months before buying/posting and this does seem to be priced quite well. Hoping the best before isn't too close. I don't normally worry about the best before date to be honest but I'm hoping Costco are giving us chance to get through the bag.

      • BN and BULK Powders are $30 per kg now.

        • I used to buy from bulk nutrients maybe 10 years ago when they were actually good value when buying in bulk. I had been buying 5kg chocolate whey for $70-$80 delivered from Pure Product via eBay the last few years, but they now charge up to $150 for the same 5kg whey. Ridiculous price increase

this stuff is junk, even Optimum Nutrition. Great for newbies who have no idea and they tell their friends "yeah i go through a 4.5kg pack of ON every month lol". heaps of fillers and other crap you dont need, Milk or Vegan Whey aka WPI, get it from Ebay search WPI protein or vegan protein if milk ones make you constipated. Also protein is for recovery not muscle gain, so unless youre actually tearing your muscles by pushing yourself then using protein to help repair and grow then dont use protein..

    Just got 30kg.

    Getting another 30kg

This is the best tasting protein ever. I got 400lbs years ago when Bodybuilding.Com had 50% off and free shipping to Australia.

    You won't regret it.

    • Not sure if trolling, or Arnold Schwarzenegger…

    • That's amazing if true. Hopefully it was when AUD and USD were equivalent

  • i usually get WPI

  • Most reviews about too sweet and not mixing well are true. Now I have 2.7kilios to finish somehow.

    • I haven't got mine yet. I'll have to see how I go.

    • Just had my first scoop. It's a big scoop compared to ON. I thought it tasted nice enough, better than ON maybe? My bag of ON was really old so maybe a fresh bag would taste better. It's been so long since I bought it. Sweet, yeah but it wasn't sickly sweet and that's coming from someone who doesn't add sugar to their tea or coffee. Would I drink it as a tasty beverage? No of course not but I thought it was fine after exercise. It mixed OK too. A few small lumps but nothing to complain about.

    • Today is the second day, taste buds are getting used to this powder. I mostly used ON, Aminoz, Musashi and BN. In same sequence I found their sweetness which is from lower end to upper end. Today I tried something, instead of looking to add ice cubes later on or looking for anything else I just mixed it as soon as I added power to the shaker. This time no issues with chunks that were coming yesterday.
