Shopping express has had Asrock challenger pro going for $599 for a cpl of days now

    • $649 Red Devil at pc case gear was worth the extra $50. All 6700xt are poorly priced. I would probably buy the $399 xfx 6600xt qick if it came on special again and get a better card in 2 years

      • if you are keen about it give PLE a call, they actually have stock of the $399 xfx in the eastern stores but aren't making it available online, can probably score one.

    • for anyone curious, this AsRock Challenger Pro is not too bad. Although hard to gauge how cool they run as it is the winter months, compared to a Strix 1080 Ti, running the same stress tests & game, it did a tad better. Not exactly apples to apples, but enough to get an idea.

Bench scores a tad behind other top tier cards in the 6700 XT range, but within the margin of error.

    • Thanks.

I searched here, staticice & parts picker, to be sure before uploading. Nothing. I wish people shared more. But the negs burn, I know.

  • Is the Gigabyte with 3 fans meant to be better/quieter than the MSI with 2?

I think we all know the reputation of Harris Technology…
    ..

I've been at the short end of the stick many times, after purchasing from this mob..

Just be prepared to waste a bit of fighting for refunds..
or being screwed around, when they either dont' have any stock, or send out the wrong item..

There's no maliciousness in it.. their whole system is simply stuffed…
I've simply sick and tired on wasting hours of my time, trying to get receipts. or the correct item from them..

    • After seeing their ratings on Amazon I thought they were the good guyz.

Can confirm I bought and returned items not long ago a couple of times from them via Amazon and no issues at all. Reply was responsive as well

FWIW, bought a couple of things from them, via their eBay account. Never sent a tax invoice and always had to request one, but always got it the next day.

Nevertheless, having heard of all the horror stories, I am hoping I never need to RMA anything I bought from there & find out first hand how bad they really are.

    • Honestly wasn’t aware. A lot of votes there. Thanks for sharing. I used them YEARS ago, and they were slick.

Although this deal is fully credited to me I am negging it for reasons mostly covered above:
1.6700xt is generally overpriced significantly as compared to 6600xt (recently priced around $399). For around 20% increased performance one is required to pay over 40% increased price.
    2. Not the cheapest deal, as pointed out by sparklemotion.
    3. Most importantly, the seller's reputation. I am aware of a recent case where someone bought a reasonably priced GPU while it was in stock on their website. Almost a week later the buyer was informed that it is out of stock and they can offer a refurbished one instead. They do have the brand new one on their eBay website, which is not on offer to this buyer. The matter is yet to be resolved.
