I assume no battery? can you purchase one for these? and also have the chance to score a free solar panel if youre in the "firt" 30 orders?

    • +1

I’ve tried all my life to be firt in something :(

  • Hey OP, any idea why they don't sell replacement chargers for these any more? Is there any way to source one?

  • A quick search suggests that these need some hackery (E1 is mentioned here: https://github.com/thirtythreeforty/neolink) to get at the rtsp stream without using their proprietary software - anyone able to confirm that the rtsp stream is not accessible out of the box?

    • +1

It is accessible. The E1 doesn't have it but the Pro does.

      • Can confirm Generic RTSP is available on the E1Pro

      • Excellent - thanks!
I want to control and use them in Home Assistant and it looks like a relatively small fuss to get everything going on the pro - https://community.home-assistant.io/t/reolink-e1-zoom-and-or…

        • I have an E1 Pro working with Synology Surveillance Station.

        • I have this in HA. Works great via the ONVIF integration. There's a reolink integration on HACS but it doesn't work with that.

        • Is there a way to do this by someone who has 0 experience? Is there a simpler guide somewhere?

  • Cannot buy it as :"This item is not available, because the seller doesn't provide delivery to the shipping address you selected."

The item shows as shipping from Germany when in the shopping cart.

    • strange, mine was from Australia, and I can still see it available in Australia, free Auspost delivery est July 11

      • Yes, that's what I see as well, but when I add it to the cart it shows as shipping from Germany in the cart.

      • Actually, it's only the white that ships from Australia. I was ordering the black, which ships from Germany.
The white ones stand out too much when placed behind a window.

  • I ended up ordering a 2 pack (white) which came to $99.82 all up, so a good deal indeed.
    Thanks!

    • How did you get that price? Price is over $100 for me

      • There was a store coupon available.
PukeyLuke below got an even better deal.

  • Any of the Reolink Doorbells available yet?

    https://reolink.com/au/product/reolink-video-doorbell/

    • Hi, thanks for your interest. It's estimated to release at the beginning of August.

  • I bought the white one and it cost $46.38. the discounts were "Store Coupon/Code -AU $7.34" then "Spend & Save - AU $4.40" then "AliExpress Coupon/Code
-AU $2.94" total $46.38. BTW after I paid for it, I tried again to see what price came up and the best I could get was $49.32, I didn't buy two, I only needed one.

  • Well. My pair arrived today - not in 2 weeks as advised when I got them online.
The app via wifi was horrible but once I plugged in a live ethernet cable, they were easily configured.

Easy to get working in Home Assistant using the ONVIF integration. Pro tip: restart HA if you bugger around with onvif.
Took some restarts to get everything stable.
These replace some very old and thoroughly fanghack'd xiaofang cameras.
Glad to see them go - these cost about twice what they did back in the day and the image quality is an improvement…

    • So would you recommend these cameras if it's only using WiFi? I'm interestedbut don't have an Ethernet cable.

      • They work for me currently using wifi and I'm guessing that's how most people set them up too.
Personally, I found the wifi/phone setup process was awful and unreliable.
Once I used a lan connection setup was much less flakey.
I'd guess you'll do fine just with wifi but be prepared to redo things if/when they fail.

My point is that if you can plug an active network cable in for a few minutes to configure them, you can setup the wifi password too, then unplug and move them to wherever you want them and they should come up fine - mine did.

  • Expired? The code doesn't work for me :(says it's not a recognised code and the subtotal is over $100 for the 2 pack after other coupons that automatically apply
