I'd be very careful buying from Samsung online store after my very bad experience buying from their government employee store last time. I bought a 512G back in March 2022 on their EPP website. The site stated the pre-ordering of the S22U would qualify for one of 3 bonuses, which had a pick of a quick charger, charging pad, leather case cover or travel pack, etc.. So I pulled the trigger based on the fact that they reckon those items retail for about $300 mark. So at $1700, was a good deal, minus the $300 makes it a $1400 phone. I tried attaching the receipt I got from the Samsung online store to the redemption link, and they rejected it. On the redemption portal, there was a dropdown menu to click through where you purchased the phone from. There were only about 10 places that you could pick, but there's no Samsung online store. The only store I could see that has an "online" word attached to it was Amazon. So, I clicked that, and submitted my Samsung Receipt to them, to which they rejected. After literally hours on the phone/chatbox/email, and one department passes onto another department, it went nowhere. I ended up not getting the bonus gifts. Tried ACCC and they weren't interested in a consumer retailer claim. It was futile. I am so over this, as I'd spent a total of more than a day trying to sort this to no happy ending and got more frustrated. Samsung customer service is the worst I've ever encountered by a big margin. Their product is good, but if you buy online, make sure you know what taking on it if something was to go wrong, as there's nobody that could help you out there. You're on your own! Take it with a pinch of salt, this is only my experience.

Just a PSA, it's against the policy of some Australian Government agencies to give out your email address for personal reasons and against policy to receive financial benefits for being a government employee. Signing up to the Samsung Government Portal can be a violation of this - so check before you sign up. I know someone who signed up, and they ended up receiving a warning and had to get Samsung to delete their account and remove any records of it.

    • You log in through your personal email, they just send a verification link to your work email.

I know, and in order to get a verification link to your government email you must disclose it. That verification email got flagged, and the employee got called up on it.

At some government agencies that is a violation of their policy.

If you work for a big organisation like big 4 banks, health insurance, pretty much any company with 10K employees, check if they have Samsung partnership, it's basically the same as government discount

  • S22 ultra has dropped the price around 35% off for custom colours, so i found 512gb around $1k4 and 256gb $1k3.

    • They aren't "custom".

  • Bookmarked 👍

  • Former Samsung freak now leaning towards a "fruity" experience!

  • I can confirm the same price if you go via westpac rewards offer link

  • The samsung education and government platforms have been really glitchy and cant get the right promotions to apply to the cart
Now it looks like the "30% off S22 range" promotion is completely taken off the site…
