Have been looking for this to drop below $200 for a while as I missed the deals at Christmas. Effective price $188 if you can find something else to buy at HN for $60 with same retail price elsewhere. Good basic Wifi 5 mesh system if you're running wired backhaul.
TP-Link Deco M5 Mesh Wi-Fi System 3-Pack $248 (Bonus $60 Harvey Norman Gift Card) + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

What does Wifi 6 provide to the average user?
It provides the crucial No give just take rule
That was a really clever comment. I wish I could give more upvotes.
no idea but I got this during covid 2020 because the range extender sucks and was a waste of $70. This helped fixed all my dead spots and allowed me to use Ethernet to my PC whilst retaining good speed.
I'm your average user too…
The product in this deal doesn't have Wifi 6 so clearly you are in need of an upgrade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not an average user and these units do more than sufficient a job at what my household needs. No dead spots, almost 30 devices connected, no complaints
@jigna27: Maybe they are complaining but the lack of wifi 6 means no one hears them
wifi 6
I doubt it'll be happening anytime soon. I can only think of 3 devices in the house that can even use Wifi 6.
Been using this in 3BR house on 650sqm of land, covers from front yard to back yard, inside and out, without any blind spots, without wired backhaul too.
Waiting for the Deco x68 to get on sale
I know this doesn’t have wifi 6, it’s unnecessary right now as I have gigabit ports through my new house that can be used for wired back haul, and it’s not like internet is over 300mbps in most houses.
These units have gigabit pass through ports. Why pay $600 for a Wifi 6 system now when by the time fibre is widespread they will be sub $200 like this. Isn’t this ozbargain?
Then again, I don’t understand why people are buying 8K TVs now with no content…

Haha. I doubt many people even know what wifi6 would be and how it benefits them.
Totally agree haha
But remember 6 is more than 5 so it must be better…..right?!@lachhelix: Unless you are talking about an earthquake???
Wifi 5 is out of date.
