[eBay Plus] Esatto 7kg Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7 $656.10 Delivered @ Appliances Online eBay

1050
PLUSHY10

First of all, it's not the lowest price, even not a good price comparing to previous price. But comparing to recent price, $656.1 is a reasonable price for the heat pump dryer with good reviews, especially after recent price increase and if you want to use it during the winter.

Ebay indicates "Limited quantity available", so not sure how many left, but it has been sold 14 units today. The delivery date is Mon, 4 Jul and Wed, 6 Jul to Melbourne, but which is Next day on their own website, so not sure if I can received it tomorrow or two weeks later.

PS. The code is for single use, so if you have other items that want to buy with the same code, check which save more, or try if you can pay all together through the shopping cart.

Update: I just received SMS and E-mail said that the delivery is booked for tomorrow, so for the estimate delivery date, it's better to check their website directly.

Update 2 at 22:25: it's back in stock with "More than 10 available", so hurry up if you missed it in the afternoon.

    • I’m in melb and the dryer is placed outdoor on the deck under the pergola. Dries well and minimum increase to power bill.

      • Thanks for the reply. Good to know. Mine will be in the garage

      • should reduce, NOT increase power bill, otherwise what's the point

        • It will be a minimum increase if you don't have a dryer already :)

        Updated, thanks for sharing.

Got one earlier today using a couple of Coles $250 gift cards which i used to purchase some shopback ebay gift cards with further 3% cashback.

Combined around a further 10% off bring the total down below $600

  • is heat pump worth 500dollars more than a regular dryer?

    • YES, especially if you use it more than couple of times a week.

    • If you are paying around 30c/kw, no solar, use it once a week. You will save around $50+ On power a year compared to vent dryer. Plus heat pump dryer doesn’t humid or dirty your room like condenser dryer (more expensive).

      • +1

I reckon that it's not worth the extra money, because it would take 3-5 years to get your worth and in that time the machine would need replacing, so better just buy the cheap one and replace it every 5 years or so.

        • the cheapest 7kg vented dryer around $350, the cheapest 7kg condenser dryer around $500. People could save more than $150+ a year if they used heat pump dryer 3 or more times a week. If you want to keep your laundry clean and not humid, you will also need a more expensive condenser dryer. I have Beko heat pump dryer which has 5 years warranty, I could save at least $750 on electricity in 5 years (that’s around the price I paid for the dryer = free dryer).
However, it may not worthy for the people don’t use it as often or has solar.

          • +3

@stevelo: it’s gonna be particularly good for me using solar because currently my vented dryer consumes way more than my solar panels produce in winter. So I end up using grid power. The heat pump will allow me to run it just on solar power for much of winter.

            • @brilliantthings: amazing, but if you are trying to live off-grid, then why don't you just hang your clothes out to dry in mother natures sunshine. It's cheaper and better for the environment.

So it will take 10 years to get my money's worth ?

        • I paid $0 for the heat pump in around 4-5 years from savings electric. Compare if I payed $350 for vented dryer or $500 for condenser dryer. Will save more if my heat pump last longer than 5 years warranty.

  • anyone actually tracked the power usage of a drying cycle on a heat pump dryer? Would be keen to know what the actual kW usage is..

    • +1

      Someone tested it on YouTube
      https://youtu.be/Nh-j0sWBEJA
Heat pump use 0.66 kwh per load
Vent use 1.9 kwh per load
This is a pretty old video though.

    • Funny coincidence, I had a power meter on it last time I ran it.

It ran for 1 hour 50 minutes and used on average about 650W. So about 1.2kWh for an average sized load.

  • additional 3% off using shopback giftcard, around $19

  • Thanks OP! finally scored one after missing out earlier :)

  • This disappeared from my eBay cart and then appeared back in when they returned to stock. Bought one.

    • it's more expensive now though.

Damn, no postage to SA. Wonder why.

  • Any recommendations for a mat, so that the dryer can be placed on top a front loader?

Code expired, signed up for ebay plus for the deal and missed out hah

  • Is this just a dryer or washer plus dryer? It looks like the latter but nowhere I could find a mention on washing capabilities. Can someone please confirm?

    • +1

      It's dryer only

  • How it is compared to Solt 7kg heat pump from good guys? The original price is $899 and in good guys commerical it is $729.

    • +1

I’d say just different branding, same machine.

  • had this for the past 3 years. upgraded from a bosch tumble dryer. used it every 2/3 days ever since. never had issue

No regrets. A lot more efficient to run, no mould in laundry room from humidity, lower power bill. Can be plumbed or manually drain from in built tank

the biggest difference is that it's very heavy. So if you are thinking of wall mounting, it's not going to work. Stacking, maybe, if you get proper stacking kit.

    • My Samsung washing machine said something about it having a sensor to detect the weight of the load so its against putting anything on top, is that true?

  • Ordered yesterday, delivered today, Sydney metro

  • Mine is arriving today. I'd love photos or videos about how to connect the included drain hose to this dryer. The manual is very unclear.

    • The delivery guy did it for me.

    • The delivery guy did it for me, by put the side with U shape plastic at the drain, remove the small cap from the hose and connect it to the dryer. not sure if that's correct or not as I haven't got time to check the manual yet.

      • Yeah my delivery guy couldn't work out why the cap was there in the first place
