VPN or DNS setup required.
I think Paramount plus isn’t available there, so all these shows are included in free membership.

And 'Hacks' no pun intended.
this is going to hurt is the best show from the past years, i'm so mad that no one is watching
The book is very funny
I am interested in FBOY Island New Zealand
Choice ay.
Nbc lets you watch 3 free episode if you sign up using a USA VPN (Don't need to confirm email). I tried watching the new season of American greed but probably need a better VPN. It would freeze during the ads
It works via VPN. Thanks Op.
Sadly doesn't work with NordVPN connected to Auckland server.
Which VPN did you use?
I''m using Nord. It plays but network is a bit flaky.
I am using DNS with getflix, works flawless. Set up on Apple TV and had no issues so far. They have free 14 days trial with no credit card required
Getflix lifetime available, https://stacksocial.com/sales/getflix-lifetime-subscription-…. Try the trial and go lifetime if happy.
@Iangh: Do you rate it?
@jeffereigh2: Yep, nice range of channels using smartdns, https://www.getflix.com.au/channels/overview/. But no Netflix switching with lifetime - I remember accessing Netflix US using VPN. Netflix isn't a big deal nowadays as similar library. I like their CS - if there's an issue with a channel they sort it. Mostly use it for BBC/ITV/other UK, also HBO, Disney+, Peacock free, TVNZ free, Pluto, etc. and different Amazon countries. Great for using brother's Sky and BT accounts.
When buying a smartdns/VPN best to list your required channels and test them.
@Iangh: Just created a Getflix account and set it up on my Nvidia Shield. I can stream, for example, Amazon Prime but the 4K shows don't seem to get up to that quality. Even Disney+ was buffering when I watched a show.
Is there a problem of speeds slowing down with Getflix? I thought the advantage of a SmartDNS service was that the speeds don't slow down as its just done through DNS.
@Amaris: If you are pretending to be in the UK, the Media\Stream is sent from the UK not local caches. That's quite a long path.
If you turn it off and use Netflix, very high-chance the content you require will be delivered from your ISP's cache otherwise a cache within Australia,
So your wondering why a DNS over VPN, the key benefit is improved bandwidth vs VPN has VPN is constrained by the VPN gateway and the bandwidth of the VPN provider. Smart DNS doesn't have such a constraint.
Curious what additional content does Disney Plus have in the US, thought it was the same.
@Iangh: I have just couple of weeks back bought a 2 year sub with getflix - how do I change over to this plan?
@Maxdax: You can't, you can only buy lifetime and let 2-year run out. I'll note that I was surprised to see a lifetime available as it's rare to see it available nowadays. I would pick it up now in case it isn't available in 2 years.
@Iangh: The link says new customers ONLY - you reckon it should be ok to buy the lifetime with a different email ID - but the IP address is going to be same so would it work as technically not a new customer - can they work it out through IP address you reckon ?
@Maxdax: New customer as in current customer say on monthly plan can’t add lifetime sub on their subscription. You will need a different email address
@Iangh: So does this give free access to these online streaming services or just unlocked geolocation of them¿
@FredAstair: just unlocks geolocation
@Pricebeat: Cheers
@Iangh: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/quick_set_dns.html Nice portable, windows app for changing dns on-the-fly. Or you can change the dns on your router, which I do to watch BBC and other news channels on my Echo 5's. On our Kubuntu laptops I use Cloudflare.
@Iangh: Cheers
PIA aka Private Internet Access works fine
I use Ivacy
Nord worked for me after I changed my PC's time zone to NZ. I also did a manual search for NZ servers, rather than select the one on the map, although that probably doesn't make any difference.
Did you have to do anything special to get Nord working for you? I've tried both the browser extension as well as the windows app and it refuses to work.
@endlesstrail: I'm using the Nord Windows App, and Microsoft Edge to access TVNZ. Hope that helps…

@[Deactivated]: Managed to get it working using that combination. I think my antivirus / Web filter also played a role in preventing nord from properly connecting.
Thanks for your tip @ScrimpinAintEasy
I tried nordvpn for HBOmax. Never worked once. Only good for browsing??
Some tips if you're having issues:

Works with Windscribe Auckland/Parnell server for me.
Works like a charm with Nord. Thanks!
can we just setup with VPN and watch without a VPN?
needs vpn to watch - i tried without and it's geo-restricted to NZ
The problem with paramount+ is they don't release their shows at the same time around the world. Annoying that they appear on torrents a day or 2 before.
Interesting the people who can rationalise using a VPN to break the terms and conditions of these streaming services, often still pay money for a cheaper subscription, but won't use that same VPN to pirate straight up
Good deal if you live in NZ, maybe one for choice cheapies
I use my VPN for paid subscriptions to Hulu and Paramount + US and a free Peacock account. I don't care for the terms and conditions, it's just easier to use these services to manage and display new episodes of recurring shows rather than having to trawl through a torrent site. Also find shows that i wouldn't necessarily watch otherwise. And they seem happy to take my money. Win win.
I use it to download some movies from torrent sites. Most end up on the subscription services i have so i pay for them eventually. It's like zip money. Win win.
It's not illegal to circumvent geoblocking and if you're paying for a subscription, then that money is paying for the production of the shows you like to watch, and the ones you might want to watch in the future.
not illegal, but it is legal for them to boot you off their service and ban you forever.
for example, Steam. someone 'accidentally' (buying game keys from Russian sites) tried to activate a game key meant to be released for a specific region in their Australian Steam account and they got banned.
but yeah, just like the above comment, these streaming services are happy to take your money.
I'm not saying pirating is the way to go. I just don't think there's a huge moral difference between pirating vs using a VPN to access cheaper/free content that is not meant for you.
And I am not a lawyer but I suspect breach of the terms and conditions of the streaming service (ie geoblocking) is still a breach of contract law.
One is illegal and one is not: https://thenewdaily.com.au/finance/your-budget/2016/04/29/pm…
And now what I need is a rocking Ozbargain deal on a VPN since i missed the 97% cashback Nord deal two weeks ago…
I would rather get a DNS service if you are mainly using it for streaming services. It’s set and forget
Any good links for apk for android TV? The ones I googled look dodgy.
Sweet I'll dust off my getflix lifetime license.
There's a Kodi nztv plugin in the same repository as the au catch up one, haven't tested but it might work for this too.
Just installed and the plugin lets you browse but won't play, will need to test later with getflix
Kodi repository is SlyGuy. Not sure if I can post it here, just Google it.
Worked perfectly for me. Thank you!
Just tested with getflix smart DNS on Kodi add-on.
Works perfectly
Set it up earlier on FireTV Ultra. Work flawlessly. My VPN is bit slow cause buffering on Best quality
Worked for me on Nvidia Shield with Nord. First downloaded the app using the Playstore signed in to a NZ Google account.
I get all add on channels with prime free just use a card with no funds on it and all adds on channels are free
Don't the addons get cancelled after the trial period when the card can't be charged? Could you please give some detail? Thanks
So I use a spare card with no money and transfer the monthly amazon fee 6.99, then purchase each channel on the card and it goes through for free its a flaw in Amazon but it's worked since all the channels were started, each month it will run out when the monthly fee starts. Just add them again, no idea how there not onto this. I'd suggest open a debit card solely for stuff like this. My brother does the same it still works.its working on ps5 4 firesticks smart tvs It's good for free paramount and all the other channels that aren't worth paying for.
Get a visa debit card change your billing to that card put no funds in it, only put the money in to pay the prime fee 6.99 when due now watch all extras free, it will ask you pay past trials click yes and boom it always thinks you paid or doesn't care, this prolly won't last long now it's on ozbargains
Thanks to @opelcalibra and @Amaris for the suggestions. It worked perfectly for me after following their suggestions. I had to use combination of Surfshark VPN and Getflix. This is what I did:
Alternatively Kodi repository SlyGuy also works fine with Getflix, however you won't see the app interface.
Nice work mate.
I think I did the getflix group b thing a while ago when I was attempting to watch the block nz
Does TVNZ have ads?
None so far.
Another reason to use the Kodi add-on, and even for catch up in au as well.
It blocks all the ads.
Thanks for this - not sure how it works without a VPN but it does!
Anyone know if TVNZ+ has A-League games live? That is the only thing on Paramount+ that interests me…..
Thanks. Using Nord, nil issues and worked straight up.
Doesnt work with CyberGhost :(
Nord VPN usually has like 96% cashback. Ends up from $15 for three years.
Thanks, will check it out.
I just tried NZTV+ and I can't find any Paramount+ shows. Any search for say StarTrek comes up with nothing.
Highly recommend 'This is going to hurt'
Such a good show.
