    I've got the Zojirushi. It is hands down the best flask. Different price points though.

  Would like to find a glass or ceramic coating, anything smooth that's easy to wash as these with metal lining are all weird and start having a reaction over time from different liquids used etc. Don't wanna even go into lids, literally impossible to wash between groves, can't find a suitable brush and not even dishwasher helps, plus most aren't for dishwashing.

    You’re absolutely right. This is why I only ever put water in an insulated flask. The 60 secs it takes to make a cuppa (or 5) easily outweighs all the pissing around trying to clean the inside of the flask, the lid and the seals.

      These are also great for hot drinks if you have young children around. Hot drinks are the leading cause of scalds in young children. Regardless of whether they knock a cup off a coffee table, bump into an adult holding a cup and get splashed or something else, kids and hot liquids don't mix. Many need skin grafts, suffer permanent nerve damage or get scars.

      Flasks with non drip lids reduce the chance and size of spills.

      I put black coffee in my Zojorushi and now it has a bad aftertaste every time I drink from it. Got another one and will only use with hot water now..

    Pour boiling hot water and dish detergent into a bowl and suds it up.
    Take the lid off and put the lid into the bowl to soak, ensuring it's completely submerged.
    All the crud will come out and into the bowl.
    Rinse (literally) and repeat. If you do this twice and you should be good to go again.
