    • Which one is a better card?

      • +1

I haven't looked too closely but I believe the ASUS should come out on top. Slightly higher core and at a glance I'd say better cooler.

      • +1 for Asus here, I have it. And HU review was solid.

No idea on this gigabyte, think I read it's good too, ymmv.

        • Meant MSI, not gigabyte

Note Gaming X Trio is not the same variant as Gaming Z Trio, the latter being XTXH and higher clocked out of the box.

Also note that MSI messed up with the vram cooling so this card runs hot. You would need to add aftermarket thermal pads to bring the temperatures down to something more reasonable. The TUF is actually a better card overall for the 6900XT.

  • With 6800 xt's being close in price, one of the 6900 xt's is a no brainer on the AMD side.

With new cards being close it is a strong option, below US RRP, but still seems overpriced.

  • Just FYI, depending on delivery/surcharge, PCCG may be better @ $1299 Delivered…

  • This or the rugs sapphire toxic for $1399?

    • Similar thoughts here - toxic has great cooling, but a "standard" air-cooled card will be easier to keep alive for 4 years or so. (Can easily swap out heatsinks, fans etc. while an AIO cooler failure will be a bit trickier to rectify ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )

      • Aftermarket air cooler after say 4 years will be available?

        • True but the entire toxic card is tiny as most of the cooling is remote (could be talking carp, had 6 pints of Guiness) so not sure that would be plausible
