Personally tho, and no offence to the OP, i'd go for lightroom 4.0 for $149 USD.. it's significantly better than elements..

they have many different features… I use both products…
Having looked at Elements spec page, there's 2 features that lightroom 4 doesn't have.. photomerge and group shot.. The rest lightroom 4 can do SIGNIFICANTLY better.
