Vanced is the way to go for Android devices!
Unfortunately couldn't find anything for IOS

Sideload at your own risk, etc.

says "not available any more" and suggests use Brave browser or Adguard, has referral links to those. I can confirm that Brave blocks the ads that interrupt the videos, but not the "now a note from our sponsor" sections that are in the actual video.

Isn't the whole point of Brave browser is that you look at ads?
brave browser will show you small pop-up ads which you dont have to click if you want to earn crypto.
if you dont mind forgoing the BAT tokens, turn off the rewards system, No Brave Ads, No YouTube ads
Costs me $2.44 a month via the India hack. At that price it's not worth the hassle to use these other workarounds.
