  • Seems poco f3 is cheaper + better?

    • +4

Only cheaper if you place no value at all on local stock and local support…
There's definitely value there if you get a lemon.

Would rather get the A52S for $529.

    • +4

Seconded, I have been very happy with my A52S.
Paid $448 after a telstra day deal along with salary sacrifice.

    • +1

Bought for 428 at Jb during click frenzy with 10% off gc.

      • Cracking price!
I have a feeling it'll get to $400 when they really wanna push them out the doors (this is when I'll bite).

    • Anyone know if the A52s is eligible for Samsung's trade-in on their website? I searched for it in this link but it doesn't seem to show up: https://www.samsung.com/au/tradeup/

Hoping that if I buy it I'd be able to take advantage of those trade-in bonus deals Samsung usually runs in a couple years time.

Exynos is a codename for a little old Korean grandma that lives inside the phone and pedals a bike to power the processor

As a 53 user I could not agree more I am fed up with the stuttering and freezing in 3rd party apps. Samsung just get you to activate safe mode or factory reset and claim 3rd party apps are "not supported" never again only ever buying snapdragon phones in future.

      • +3

If you have done the above and still have issues (and you will!) Samsung's go to is a $150 off voucher for a snapdragon powered a73

      • +3

That's terrible to hear. The A52s 5G with the SD778 never stutters for me… In any app.

    • Do not underestimate the power of Korean grandma…

  • +1

    A73 much cheaper

    • Where do you see it much cheaper?

    • Samsung edu store. With $50 voucher it will cost you around 580.

      • Thanks. How do I access that if I’m not a student?

        • How do we get the $50 sign up? Do we need a new email address?

          • @Aussiemite: Interesting. You're answering my question another question.

Now we have two unanswered questions.

            • @Ebaygiftcards: Sorry mate, I was supposed to ask Ozoi but put my reply in the wrong comment. Can you forgive me?

    • Cheaper and way better camera and just way better overall phone.

  • +4

  • you can have my $150 off samsung voucher too maybe only valid on a73
    NBT-Z4RM-H24L-DZ7P

    • Tried but not valid. Thanks for offering anyway

  • Thoughts on this, vs the A73 and the TCL 20 Pro https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/702042 that I've bought for $360 but yet to open? Just a standard user, no gaming

https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10855&idPhone… says the Samsungs are faster, newer (longer support life), tougher screen, bigger battery. TCL has wireless charging which would be good on the motorbike, double the storage at a much lower price.

Don't buy A53, CPU performance is 20-25% worse than A52s, but price is $200 more.
