    • Did you agree to receive optional marketing during purchase? Last year I'd bought into a similar deal and never received the credit. After a few follow ups and emails they told me my account did not have this ticked and as a result they did not give me the store credit.

    Always the case with these credits that it has a super short expiry

    "Every qualifying customer can automatically increase their eligible Click & Collect Bonus Store Credit if their qualifying transaction is paid in full using PayPal Pay in 4 at the time of Checkout" - im assuming this to mean you cant PART pay using Paypal Pay in 4? I was hoping to use a gift card for part of the purchase, but think that may exclude me from the double amount..?

    • yeah it's right there on that page as long as you can C&C, I see there's only one in two of the stores near me before I need to travel out of state haha

      • Did you try it out? Mine just worked as a $10 gift card with no min spend, I just had $12 in cart and it took $10 off. Then got another text saying I can get another $10 if I open the invoice. Saving it for when I actually get my last promo cred

    Still haven't got the bonus from the mothers day click and collect promo, meant to be sent out on the 26th. No way to call customer service as it just says 'we are not taking calls about this' automated message, no response to emails either

        • Call 1300 466 348. This is customer care and was on hold for about 30mins. Just keep waiting. Got this number after going through to a store and they gave this direct number. Then waited a couple of days for them to give me a manual credit. Good luck!

                Edit : so finally got through after half hour, and he said the same thing 'you werent opted into marketing' and i was like, then can you explain to me the 4 emails i received in the past month with your marketing. 'Sometimes theres multiple accounts' - no its the same email, so are you saying you are in breach of the spam act?

                Then he said he was happy to manually credit me if i just change my preferences for marketing to email and sms.

      Same issue here, I believe there is something wrong with their system. I can't even receive the digital invoice.

                      @Captain Hindsight: Okay I rang another number which what they put me through which is that number.
                      Either way yes it's a waiting game until the 14th. Planning to use on Netflix vouchers if I can't find anything else.

  • does PayPal in 4 work if i also use a gift card.
    For example i get a $501 item but use a gift card I have of value $450 and the other $51 through PayPal in 4, will i still get $120?

    • I think so, that's exactly what I did in mather's day and I received credits still.

  • Just checked with sales from TGG, if you ask for a quote from sales online and make a transaction, that would not be counted as C&C. So if you missed the 10% off promo, you have to wait for other storewide promo online to get the best deal.

    • So this only works if you pay full price? Any negotiated price/ price matches doesn't qualify for the promotion?

    • Not yet, today should be the day via email. I checked days ago to make sure mine was still set up and it was. I received a concierge credit via SMS since then

  • I rang and asked they said wait till the 14th (I think) and they will get sent then. They couldn't even tell me if I qualified correctly. They did mention to ensure that I stay subscribed to all their emails they send out for the full period.

          Did you do the price match via "thegoodguys.com" and the product isn't listed under the exclusions?
          I'm looking for exclusions in regards to price matching or the such and I don't see it in this document.
          I BELIEVE I've seen them mention in OTHER documents from OTHER sales that paying the full price shown on the website and using credit from other promotions can invalidate the promotion.

        • I price matched and the store member went through the promotions terms with me and confirmed I was eligible as I was making the purchase on the Good Guys website (via the link from the store member) and collecting it in store as required, and there was nothing in the terms excluding this type of purchase.

          The promotion enquiry mailbox stated (over two weeks after my enquiry to them) that I was in fact not eligible as I 'didn't make the purchase through the Good Guys website'. I called the store again and they said this advice was incorrect and I will receive the credit, so to ignore them.

          Haven't received it so have contacted them through the promotions enquiry form again. Only made the purchase for this credit offer!

    I made a $500+ order via Paypal Pay in 4 on 20/6 and had questions about the marketing requirement in the T&C.

    I called and emailed trying to get clarification to ensure i was eligable, but never got any response. I decided to return the items because i didn't feel like getting scammed out of a $120 bonus.

    Then, on 28/6 i put the order through again after realising i could tick all the marketing boxes in the account preferences. I got Covid on 1/7 so couldnt collect the order until 9/7. If they deny me the credit because the T&C say i had to have picked up by 4/7, then i will return the item again. We'll see…ive been on hold for 55min so far.

    This is by far the worst promotion experience ive ever had. Ever. Simply horrible customer service.

    My wife and I both spent $500 but only received $40 vouchers instead of $80. We've checked exclusions and T&Cs and no reason we shouldn't get the full amount. Tried to call all the numbers listed and no help, and lodged a query through the website. Going to the store tomorrow as hopefully they have a contact.

    Edit: We bought google stuff for $300+ and Playstation to take us over $500. Can't see either brand is excluded.

    It's frustrating not to have received it especially when they put in a small window for redeeming. I made a purchase decision factoring in that credit otherwise it would not have been price competitive.

    Not Good Guys. No Credit and no response to phone call, email, or message via website. Unbelievably bad service.

  • I'm not sure why they didn't just issue the gift cards/vouchers at the time of purchase with the rule that they can only be used in July. Would have been much easier!

    • Why they have crafted a bonus offer so lacking in transparency and clarity is beyond me. Adding to the fact that their customer support is literally non-existent at the head office level and in store staff have no idea about the promotion.

      All they are going to get from this is a complete loss of customer goodwill.

      I have spent over 2.5 hours on hold with Customer care between today and yesterday. Noone asnwers the phone. The Good Guys are complete scam artists.

          No i haven't received a credit. Likely because under the promotion's T&C it says i have to have collected the items from the store by 4/7. As i had covid, i wasn't able to collect the items until after this date. What a joke of a condition. I haven't been able to confirm this is the reason i didnt receive a credit though as customer care do not answer the phone. I spent at least 2.5 hours on hold before i hung up.

          I got blank looks at the store when i returned the items and said that the Good Guys would rather receive $0 from me than be net $380 ahead plus whatever else i would have spent after receiving the $120 credit. I dont even think they understood what the promotion was.

    • I spoke to someone on that number from online support, they couldn't help and put me through to promotions. Up to 3.5 hours on hold. I don't think they're taking calls.

            @ATreff: Not really, you get a $10 credit text immediately after picking up items. They are just trying to make things difficult betting on most people either forgetting or putting in the too hard basket

          I will be doing if I don't get my credit. I've contacted them and been given the usual 5 day reply window, but I'll have my complaint ready to send as soon as that time is up. I have found the ACCC to be a force to be reckoned with for a complaint I made a few years ago so will do some research there. From the comments here, it seems a lot of other people have been scammed too.

          We spent my wife’s $120 store credit yesterday on a Sonos One SL - they had the 15% off audio so technically only paid $125 for it. I would’ve bought 2 if my store credit came through!
          I’m hoping it’s just a system glitch and they will all arrive shortly, with a new 7 day expiry!

        Now Messaged them and hopefully I will get an answer in 5 days.
        Surely this isn’t going to be easy fight. Really bad experience so far. Whoever I speak to retail or online, they keep saying “it’s not there department, they have no clue of the promotion.
