    Again?

    • Yup, 3 new challenges, 3 days in a row

If you’ve completed it before, you can complete it again :)

    • +1

I've already got a balance of $400 Swap GC, I don't need more.

      • +1

And most of the other deals were much better.

  • 3,000 I think

    • +1

Cheers - I was copying the info from my previous post earlier and made some edits since :)

  • For some reason, the super swap only has really low amounts for Coles GC… only $15 today… very annoying to use 5-6 GC in one transaction.

    • +5

See this comment by @WookieMonster - essentially the limit is set by Prezzee, not by ShopBack

My understanding is that Coles Group is quite stingy with the number of Coles gift cards they'll allow to be sold on third-party gift card portals. For example, Reward Gateway enforces a limit of $300 per-member per week, and HCF Thank You enforces a limit of $520 per-member per week.

From what I've noticed within the last week, Prezzee releases a limited number of Coles gift cards every 1-2 days. However, considering Prezzee cannot effectively enforce a per-person limit on the number or amount of Coles gift cards you can redeem/purchase through them each day, you'll sometimes find Prezzee will completely run out of Coles gift cards (or only have very low denominations available) and will need to wait until it is restocked.

For future reference, an alternative option is the Coles Groceries gift card. However, those gift cards cannot be used to purchase alcohol (which is a moot point, since Coles no longer sells alcohol within their stores themselves), tobacco, mobile SIM cards and gift cards. You'll get an Invalid Product Mix error if you try to do that, so that is something to be mindful of.

      • +1

Thx champ, the "Coles Groceries gift card" makes sense for me.

      • Appears same for Amazon.. I've maxed out $100 & $50 limits so have to try smaller denominations hmmm

        The fine print

A maximum of 3 Amazon giftcards of this denomination cans be purchased per calendar month

        • Where do you find that print?😰

          • @AsukaST: When you select an Amazon GC of whatever value

            • @M00Cow: I couldn't find that clause in the prezzee app

              • @AsukaST: This seems set by SB. Super Swap is from Prezzee.

    • inflation is real

  • +8

Need 10% off the card at least…

    • +3

      what did the poster do?
      Anyway, bought some cards.
      Cheers
      - a noob

    • +6

What's noob about 5% off, every cent counts. The idea is to stack with cashback/promo codes/sales etc, so this is just cream on the top.

    • +2

Good lord the greed. What does the poster have to do with these deals? They're just letting people know

    • +4

Consistently poor deals but the last one he posted got 188 positive votes? When was your last deal posted that got more than 188 positive votes?

      • +1

And few days back 314 upvotes ;)
Ignore the $5 cashback on $200 tho 😂

  • -4

So stingy considering most companies especially Coles have at least 200%-400% profit margins.

    • +5

      citation needed

      • $3 items are sold at over $10 with occasional sale of 50% (half price) discount at Coles/Woolies. Even at half price discount they are still selling at nearly 100% profit. They couldn’t sell at half price if it wasn’t more than 100% profit margin. Same pricing strategy at SCA etc.

These items are sold at around $3 overseas. Australia needs to sell at higher because of higher overheads but definitely not >$10.

        • You haven’t considered shipping costs, admin costs, labour costs, storage costs, marketing costs, taxes, the list goes on.

          • @ATangk: All of those costs exist everywhere. It can’t be almost four times the normal price even if you take that into factor.

    • Damn, making Coles sounds bad

What about the others like Amazon, Woolies, Microsoft etc 🙃

    • I would love to understand the math about over 100% profit margins, are they printing money on the side?

  • +2

I hope this 3% is not the new normal. Not worth doing for 3%

    • +1

3% bonus, so basically 5% for coles or amazon gift cards.

    • +1

But it’s really 5% due to 2% cashback on most cards

      • Quite right, that is a valid point

    • Atleast with gift card portals you get the 5% off right away, here you have to wait 1-2 months to get the cashback. And if theres an issue you need to chase them up about it which I have done a few times. Not worth the hassle to get gift cards through SB or CR imo.

      • -2

        This is instant cash back.

        • The $3 yes but what about the other 2%?

          • +1

@JoeBogan: The other 2% tracks instantly and will be available to withdraw in 4-5 days usually

            • -1

@BargainsGrabber: Ah my bad. It still causes me anxiety to get gift cards from a company that had a major data breach.

      • Gift cards track instantly and takes only less than 10 days to be made available to withdraw

I think you’re referring to merchants. Gift cards are an internal system by ShopBack from Prezzee

  • +2

$95 for $100 Amazon GC seems a no brainer. Stocking up for Prime Day in July.

Well it would be if I hadn't already reached my Amazon GC limit..doh!

    • +3

Well it would be if I hadn't already reached my Amazon GC limit..doh!

Shopback swap GC swap to Amazon GC

      • The swap works with amazon?

        edit, I see it, thanks!

  • Man if this was earlier would have bought it for sure to stack with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/703084

But didnt wanna miss out so paid directly with CC plus getting little peace of mind with any CC protection I have from Coles CC

    • +1

Refunds are so bad through eBay gift cards, not worth the discount unless you know you will definitely never need a refund.

      • +1

I know exactly the feeling of this, Had been stuck kogan once after 6 month of wait on refund of like $300 something phone. Was so pissed on Kogan. Totally agree that refunds are a pain in the ass, Glad with the use of CC any refund will go straight to my CC instead of being deflated with GC value

  • Nice.. 3 bucks. For the first 3000 too. So don't know if you've made the cut or not.

    • First 3,000 purchases, plenty available :)

  • +1

    pass no buying it.

    • +1

      Thanks for letting me know

  • -1

Even if they give 10% off still can only buy lower denominations for coles gc

  • At least this deal is still redeemable for Coles
Woolies GC is much harder to access without some kind of membership

    • +1

Prezzee swap gift cards (not via Shopback) have Woolworths gift cards as a swap option, keep an eye out for when they have a deal on their swap cards.

  • The comments on these recent deals sound like a bunch of spoiled kids. Thanks OP, didn't appear in my app this morning, grabbed this one too

  • +1

I think there's gonna be a big financial year end promotion coming. The fact that they are running this small bonus promotions so often says a lot about them still having some way to go to hit their KPI target for the financial year.

  • Thanks.
Got the $3 instantly, plus 2% cashback on the $100 Amazon gift card

Plus, saw a 10% cashback on the $50 Amazon gift card, which the $5 tracked instantly too.

(Not sure why I didn't see this before, or of it was even listed as a deal)

    • No worries!
On the 10% cashback on $50 Amazon gc, that deal sounds targeted for those who haven’t bought gift cards before

      • Probably more, for those that hadn't bought for some time.
I've bought gift cards in the past from Shopback when they have good cashback deals and mostly for Amazon too.
I've been getting better rates from Perkbox till very recently.

  • Has anyone noticed that woolies isn't an option when you try swapping?

    • That's been the case for some time, if not forever for Shopback Swap cards. Prezzee swap cards have it in their options however.

You can get Coles with Shopback swap though.

      • Ah thanks.
