  • *cheapest I've seen it, for a while 😒

    • is it a reputable brand?

      • +6

It’s well-known on Ozb but many people including myself would strongly recommend against getting it due to quality issues. Search past posts for this board for details. Ultimately it’s up to you as to whether you want to roll the dice as some people have had no issues at all.

        • +5

Agree, I've bought one previously and the plugs don't hold the plugs in and plugs stopped working properly. Junk.

        • +2

I bought one last year from Centrecom and have a UDM-PRO, USW-8-150w, a Pi 4, NBN Modem attached to it and haven't had any issues.

Keen to get recommendation from other OzBargainers of other options that aren't UPSs as an interim fix.

        • Why didn;t you neg the deal then? if the product is questionable?

        • -1

Agree there are much more better powerboards out there for $50 or less

        • What issues?

Using it for NBN box and wifi router for many years, so far so good.

525 joules of surge protection compared to 2750 in the Cyberpower…

  • I got the Heymix one with 45 watt charger and it's powering the macbook pro ayy tee em.

    • +2

Be careful with your Heymix charger it killed my Asus Zenbook last week. This is the charger I've since returned for a refund.

      • that's interesting - i've been using em for a while now.

Me too, idk how exactly people here are getting horror stories from Heymix

Been using this 65w charger from them for over year & half to charge my Lenovo work laptop, GPD Win Max & my P30 phone here & there. The 100W cable they provided w/ charger is nice & long too.

Idk if how I use it mainly to charge 1 USB C device at time and not gaming with it while charged most of the time, contributes to issues people are having

So far no dramas such as overheating charger/towards my phone too hot unlike the single port USB C charger that came with my GPD Win Max does.

If I'm paying $85 for heymix, I would get this Belkin which come with connected equipment warranty for $129 instead.
        https://www.harveynorman.com.au/belkin-boostcharge-pro-4-por…

        • The heymix 65 watt GAN charger costs likee $60 AUD on sale though - that's not a small difference.

          • @BargainHunterJohnnyB: The $129 is for 90-100w Belkin charger, if you only after 65w charger, you can find Belkin for $89 RRP, on sale for $60 ish, and can even down to $49.

  • $3 off is this really the cheapest you’ve seen it?

    • I corrected in the first comment, cheapest… For a while

They can be OK but have problems

Seek and you may find better

    Buyer beware

    • +1

Ive seeked and even made a forum post. The answer is buy the cheapest from bunnings or the gigantic tplink. This one is good.

  • I don’t need it but I will still buy it

  • I am looking for something that will take adapters of any country e.g. Indian plugs, US plugs etc.
Is there a recommended powerboard for that?

  • I bought the $20 ebay bundle the other day(this board+ the battery bank) delivered because it was so ridiculously cheap… but now having seconds thoughts about installing it hahahaah

  • got mine last November from Centrecom, been using it 24/7 with no problems here.

  • Had one of these where some of the sockets stopped working after a year or so. Opened it up and found the soldering on the prongs had come loose :/

Great when they work, but as mentioned above there can be some QC issues.

  • not sure what problems others have, but i've been using it for years, all 8 holes plugged in.

If you want a 2 pack of the CyberPower, eBay has it cheaper with code PUNDER50
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/362954217748

    $58.50-$15 = $43.50
    $21.75 for 1 each

    • This code can't be applied to your order.

      • The code is a one time used only per eBay plus member

If you’ve used the code before on any item below $50 from the selected category, you can’t use the code again

  • $29 now ..
