    Firmware on my 540 was 1.44 with the latest being 1.61 which apparently is the "1.1 update" … no confusion there then :)

    Can't use the cable in the box to update the firmware.

      Find anything? I am using a cheap gardening trowel and the free plastic scoop for sand, but like you thinking of investing in a Garrett digger ($85) and pinpointer now..

      Ordered a GP Pointer 2 from AliExpress for $35ish delivered, older version cheaper still. Ordered it the day after this deal and it’s just arrived in the country.
