  • Also $65 on Amazon for the Pro2 (black and grey).

  • Got the 8BitDo SN30 Pro slightly cheaper off their official store on AliExpress a few weeks ago. Works well, feels lighter than expected but it doesn't necessarily feel cheap at all. The buttons are nice and tactile, the thumbsticks feel good too. Connection to my Android phone and Windows device works well, no hitches or problems.

$55 for the controller is a pretty good price.

  • Anyone tried these with Nvidia Shield? Very tempted.

    • I bought 2 for my Shield TV Pro. I haven't pushed them hard yet but they seem to work fine.

Absolutely no reason to get the Pro over the Pro 2.

    • What about portability? I'm thinking to get the sn30 Pro because it's smaller can fit in more places.

      • I'm an idiot. I was thinking of a different product.

  • +1

Great price for the Pro 2.

  • Great controller.
Couple of catches - the PS Remote Play app on MacOS, iPadOS and iOS doesn't like it and won't let you play.
It's a bit weird to connect to iPad and iPhone too, you need to add it using the Accessibility menu but then it mostly works as expected.
Won't let you wake up the Switch, but that's normal for third party controllers.

8BitDo are a nightmare to deal with when it comes to warranty! I recently had the rechargeable battery in my Pro controller fail within 8 months of light use and the only resolution the had was for me to ship the entire controller back to them. The battery is removable and they refused to send me a replacement even after I offered to cover the shipping costs.

I explained what the issue was in my first contact with them and that was the best they could do after multiple emails back and forth from them requesting photos of the controller, battery, receipt etc.

You can deal with JB, if you are buying from them

    • Can you stick rechargeable AA batteries in it and charge via USB-C cable?

      • Rechargeable AA will work, in terms of charging, Xbox controllers are known not to support that, so you're probably best off having 4xAAs and keeping 2 charged / on charge.

  • Anyone using these with ios for xcloud?

    • +1

Works great for me. Just tested it.
      Only catch is no rumble.

      • That’s all good, deciding between that, a ds4 and an Xbox one controller…

I'd go with whatever is the best value which IMO is this one.
Or whatever is comfiest, if you plan on doing long sessions.

I really want the fight stick but also know that I'll probably just use it once or twice and that's it!

    Does look really nice though.

      Perfect birthday present… to yourself!

I'm in exactly the same boat. I dont even play fighters, I just want it for side scrolling arcade games from my childhood.

      Christmas is coming ;)

    • I've been curious about it for ages, but I think it's gonna be difficult to relearn a decade and a half of muscle memory.

These literally just went down to $59. So $49 with the perks voucher. Bargain in my opinion!

    • Updated deal post.

    • Suppose to be 59 at the beginning, they have the "$30 off" sign with the 69 while the original price is 89. They just fixed it.

  • Do the Bluetooth ones work with Xbox Series S? Or is it better to just get the wired Xbox version?

  • Looking at my 3 Xbox controller, 1 dualsense, 1 switch pro controller. I really can not have more controller. Actually I sold my 8bitdo pro 2 two months ago.
But this is a great deal for those NEED it not WANT it.

    • That price was weeks ago

      • It sold out, then went back up in price. Now they have price-matched this. Camelsx3

  • Amazon have price match 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth gamepad (Black edition) $59

8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth gamepad (Black edition)

  • I've have almost a dozen different controllers at this point, but I'm still curious about this one lol. Heard only great things about it.

  • Got the 8BitDo Pro 2 for $49 using $10 Perks coupon. Considering it's only $3 more than the SN30 Pro. Even though my main gaming controller is an Xbox One bluetooth controller on PC and an old cordless Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad on my emulation gaming system. This is something I've always wanted to try as a replacement for the Logitech controller.

Got the Zero 2 and after a few sessions with it, it's quite the solid controller.

Best feature is the ability to change the DPAD to read as the Left or Right Stick with a button combo. Makes jumping from Super Smash to Tetris 99 and back to SNES games a breeze.

    $25 is good and it's a no-brainer at $15!

  • Anyone interested in the xbox version.
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/8bitdo-sn30-pro-bluetooth…

It has analogue triggers but apparently only works on Android.

  • Is pro 2 good for steam link on Google Chromecast TV?

I use Xbox 360 controller on the steam PC.

X Y B A not at the same position as XBox controller

    • There should be a button combo to swap the ABXY buttons to match the Xbox layout. Combo varies between models.

    • I think that can be configured via the app: you can remap the buttons and even assign buttons to macros (hadoken with one press!).

  • Thanks, just grabbed the GameBoy version. Perks voucher was listed as expired yesterday but still worked somehow.
