Will other stores like JB Hi-Fi etc price match gift cards?
I tried that a few months ago at BigW and they said they can't - Apple won't let them somehow. They said they will price match on everything except that. Seemed an honest reply as they asked a few staff members/supervisors etc.

I'm with you on that one, but I'm not sure if its for the same reason.
The horrendously inflated prices, awful service, and unwillingness of anyone to negotiate on prices in Harvey Norman stores has driven me away for years, and After seeing Gerry Harvey firstly say that online retail isn't good business but then moan about how overseas online retailers are losing him money and customers, not to mention his lobbying for a lowering of the GST free threshold on overseas bought goods to $100, I hope his business goes down in flames.

Have had a couple of dubious dealings with HN store staff (eg: playing dumb on sale prices, lies, poor attitude etc) and the last incident trying to flog overseas games at AUS prices was the last straw. Won't spend another dollar in a HN store. Their only value is keeping competition with other retailers active, so while I would say "deserve you right" if they went out of business, I wouldn't exactly want them to for the reason stated.
@spacenoodle your right, their business model has not moved with the times, and its evidently clear..
However the wishing them going down in flames is a bit much..let natural selection do its bidding :)

D'oh… I just bought a $50 for $40 itunes card at Officeworks last week, for 20% off… after waiting for ages to find a 25% off offer!
so where is this catalogue cuz the one in Maribyrnong said 25% off the second one only not the first one.
