Newer one won't be 1374.
It will if you wait long enough
Then you may as well wait for the M3 MacBook.
@AustriaBargain: Why stop at the M3, wait for the X1
@Magik: this one crazy trick to save infinite money on computers, keep waiting for the next model
$1349 delivered @ Apple EDU store for 256GB version. You can get it cheaper by buying discount Apple gift card that usually go on sale (Coles or Woolworths). Its an extra 10 - 15% off so yeah if not in rush, maybe wait for a bit.
Not everybody has access to the EDU store and I thought Apple gift cards were only limited to App Store purchases? I should start stocking up if I’m wrong
Thats apple app store gift card, apple gift card can be use on apple store (e.g. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/696598). Also theres 2 way to access apple edu store:
1. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/595949
2. Request ozb member help who got edu email
Your mileage will be vary but this is the ozbargain way! Get as much discount as possible 😁 I actually got the 256gb macbook air variant last month for only $1214 after discount from apple store.
yes they do
Is school email ending .edu.au enough?
@georgev: you don't need anything they don't check
@[Deactivated]: Yeah that’s what I thought too. 3 years ago I bought no issues. Some comments made me rethink
I've not yet seen the new Apple Gift cards ever go on sale. Do you have any links to that shows they go on sale of the new gift cards in the last couple of months?
Technically they don't really go on sale anymore, you just get reward points equivalent to 10-15% instead. It's not quite the same thing, I agree.
Some reward schemes let you buy Apple Gift cards for a flat 5% off though.
Has anyone tried using the AOC store?

$1294 for MBA
Yes - This is the way to do it.
They also have the 14” MacBook Pro 8c/14c 16gb/512gb for $2697, seems to be price matching umart? Although it’s listed as being out of stock, I wonder if jb would price match?
I know the 13 inch and 14 macbook is way too tiny for me.
Appreciate your personal feedback.
no sarcasm i bet
No not at all, personal size limitation feedback always helps with financial decisions others make.
@pr3ggas: as ive said in another thread.. this new macbook air is smaller than the 2011 macbook air i have. other can't compute that just because it stated as a size doesn't mean it not smaller screen size.
@ilove: Yep things change, bezels get smaller which reduces the size requirements.
@ilove: The screen size is a diagonal measurement and will be what it says it is. However this will have far slimmer bezels than your 2011 Macbook Air meaning the actual laptop will be smaller.
@ilove: Bro, the 2020 M1 MBA has exactly the same screen size as your 2011 MBA, 13.3 inches:

@pr3ggas: Pssstt….I don't think he's buying it
@zorrt: I'm starting to believe that.
I contrast i have the 2019 13inch MBP & 16Inch MBP M1Pro and the 13inch is the perfect size for a "Lap" top.
amazon same price
$1274 from wireless eBay last year
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/650973
And it’s now $1399 delivered with $100 off (Savemay) coupon code
I didn't do a thorough check but suggest people compare carefully what they are getting meets their needs. For example, the models available on the Apple site at $1499 and $1899 have 16gb RAM compared to Officeworks 8gb.
? They're 8GB RAM: https://www.apple.com/au/shop/buy-mac/macbook-air
So they are. No excuses but I obviously thought it read 16gb.
Maybe wait for newer MacBook air with M2 or something if not urgent.
