Can you buy gift cards at Big W? There's no exclusions for them…

    • Yeah I wanna know too!

Specifically says "as a payment method" (wished they all stated it like that 😅) for Big W.

And "Purchase of Giftcards" is a don't for Liquorland, so it ain't like they forgot that rule 🤔

      $165 max giftcard?
Or is it $180 after deducting 10% gst?

      • Oh wait… can you even buy Gift Cards from Big W online? 😅

    • no, takes you to the Woolworths portal to purchase, so I would say that is a no.

the Shopback website is showing 2000 FB points for $50+ spend, but I can't see anywhere at Liquorland that this is true today? This is a possible mistake on Shopback website?

    • +1

I think it is a mistakes on Shopback website. I cannot see the 2000 FB points on liquorland web-site.

      • +1

Hey hey, I just spoke to Liquorland and they've said this is an active promo, and will be active until Sunday. Unsure why they're not advertising it, but they've said this should apply to any valid purchase made on an account with FlyBuys linked. I'll let you know if I hear of anything changing, though.

        • +1

@gotyourback, I have called Liquorland, the CSR told me the only active promotion is: - Purchase 3 bottles of selected wines for $35, 6 for $60 or 12 for $100! Ends Sunday .
The CSR confirmed do not have any FB 2000 points promotion at the moment.

          • @Purple: Super weird! Idk why we'd be told different things. I agree to maybe not bank on the points for now if we're getting mixed messages, I'll chase up with LL again and let them know there's more confusion. Will confirm what I hear back from them.

        • +1

Probably not worth risk, isn't showing bonus points on their web page & be a real gamble if they honour this.

          • +1

@iGrouch: I totally agreed with you, grouchiness. It is a night mare to contact flybuys team for missing points. We cannot justify the FB missing points because the promotion is not showing on their web-site.

          • +2

@iGrouch: I just did an order and it just came up with 51 points instead of the bonus 2000….sooo, what they told gotyourback is incorrect. I will now have to cancel that order, as I only purchased on the proviso that I was getting the bonus 2000 fb points

        • +2

I can confirm that it doesn't give the 2000 bonus points. I just did an order and will now have to cancel it

        • +3

Also can confirm no bonus points, after purchase it showed normal amount of earned points

        • I spent $50, on got 50 flybuys points.
Do you need to spend $50.01 to get the bonus?

          • @Fergs: It appears to be a mistake, not an active FB promotion.
When they are active a $50.00 purchase would qualify.

          • @Fergs: No.

If there were a current bonus flybuys offer, then $50 would be sufficient.

However, there is no bonus 2000 point offer current as:

            1. There is no banner for the offer on the website
            2. The standard promo page for flybuys offers doesn't show it
            3. The online Terms & Conditions page doesn't show it
            4. Customer Support have claimed it's not active
            5. Nobody has claimed to have received it in their daily newsletter 1

My opinion is that the Liquorland staff talking to ShopBack are misinformed, possibly because the offer was planned but then canned (or not activated correctly in their system) .

            1. I've dropped off their mailing list, so I can't confirm that it's not in any of their newsletters

  • newly released lego succulents 10309 $67.15 with cash back.

lego store has it for $89.99

  • spose using EDR credit is also a no no?

    • This shouldn't invalidate Cashback, but you won't earn cashback on any amount paid with EDR credit. Full T and C line reads; "Cashback is calculated based on the Order Value, excluding any GST/Taxes, Delivery Fees, & any amount paid for with Everyday Rewards Dollars."

      Hope that helps!

      • thanks gyb, would the full price counts towards challenges though?

        • If you’re referring to the $3 bonus on $15 spend challenge, then yeh :)

Rmb to minus any GST and shipping charges tho

  • Hi GYB, the Big W link doesn't work via the app or via the computer

    • Hey lovedemfinds, do you mean the link to the Big W site via the Big W page on our app/website? I can click through on both on my end, let me know if this is the link and if you're still having trouble.

      • I think the issue is when we're browsing the product page in BigW, the chrome extension doesn't show a 15% cash back like we used to see. That's why we're not sure if it's really tracking at 15% CB

        • Hmm, it seems to fine on my end but I'm definitely happy to take a look into it to be sure. Hold the line, I'll make sure all is groovy and get back ASAP.

        • Got an update for you guys, thanks again for flagging this with me.

  • wow… the purchased tracked… but available 12th sept 2022 for $7.56

  • Hi @gotyourback,

Bought some nappies for $44 (at 12.51pm) through desktop browser. It tracked with a $2.40 cashback, that's 6% before GST. I calculate it should have been $6 cashback. Am I missing something?

    • Hey flagger, could you DM me the order number? I'll take a look.

  • +3

Hey all, I've taken a look into the Upsized Cashback for Big W and unfortunately there's been an error with the setup of the rate. The error is being fixed as we speak, but some orders already placed will show an incorrect rate. We are going to get all affected orders automatically uplifted to the correct rate, but if your order was affected and you don't see a change by the end of the week, reach out to me via DM and I'll make sure this is sorted for you. Sorry for any frustration caused here, happy as always to make it right.

    • Cheers, thanks for the proactive update, will check it next week.

    • Was just doing the maths in my head as I was drifting off to sleep and noticed my cashback rate was wrong… Came to OzB for answers - and you delivered! I'll keep an eye on my transaction…

    • Thanks. Can you bring back the promo again my the end of the week for all who hesitated to purchase on bigW due to the cash back issue?

      • Unfortunately we'd need Big W to play ball to do that again, so I'm likely unable to swing that I'm afraid!

Thanks OP, I picked up a carton of Coopers Regency Red Ale for about $52!
