I have 5.74 variable with offset ($10 per month) from ANZ. Need better offers!

  • +6

    Would not fix right now.

Those rates are rubbish, my variable rates are that with ANZ. Would be a very bad decision to fix at that rate.

Word to the wise, spamming the same comment over & over won't win you many fans here.

Interested in more on this BOC- Rates from 5.58% for Owner Occupied + $3288 cashback Min $400K property) what's the CR?

    • Yeah attractive rate, what's the catch?

      • china owns you

      • All documentation is in Chinese

        • It's Chinese and English.

      • +3

Dealing with BOC which is slow and manual - dont expect your usual major/digital banks fancy app.

But yes their rate is sharp but this requires solar system. The cashback offer that OP mentioned has finished as well - it is now reduced depending on loan amount.

      • +1

The catch is it takes months for them to process your application, they will requires heaps of documents and you won't be able to get the loan anyway with their much tigher serviceability calculation.

    • +1

This offer finished last month and the cashback amount is reduced now. OP is clearly behind and need to actually work

  • It's heating up again! Interest rates on the way down finally?

  • No thanks…

  • fixed rates in the current economic environment ewwwwwwww

  • +2

honestly, imo fixed rate equal or greater than 5.5% right now should not be posted at all, it's ozbargain here, not ozripoff

  • Maybe advertise the variable rates & cashback… You're not going to get any bites on fixed rates like that with expected RBA cuts on the way

  • +2

    fixed rates? Must be stupid

Why is this deal getting down voted?

Saw some historic ones which the deal is the cashback.

When interest rate was at record low, everyone jumped to +ve vote, and vice versa (today).

Thought the whole idea is the cashback rather than the rates, which all brokers can also offer.

  • you have rocks in your head if you fix at this present time
unless you're fixing at a rate below 5%

  • 5.74% fixed? Are you really associated with ANZ? Or you're just trolling ANZ? 😂

  • What rate can ANZ do on 250K with less than 50% LVR?
