More value in buying Xbox Game Pass. Not sure why anyone would actually want to buy the game stand alone when you can play it on game pass along with tones of other awesome games.

I believe in the previous cases if you have bought DLC they give you the attached game when it leaves gamepass.
Because at the end of your subscription you're left with nothing, while some people prefer to own their games/movies etc. It also won't stay on GP forever.
Owning the game means you don't have to buy GamePass in the future when you decide to play the game again in 2 years.
Someone like me who plays no games on game pass other than Horizon 5 will buy the game. I'm waiting for a PC game deal. All these deals are for Xbox only
On PC at least, I was unable to download any games whatsoever from Gamepass (tried reinstalling relevant apps, repairing, searching error code etc). A mate of mine said he had a similar issue having his steam library/directory on the same drive and had to create an additional partition, but I wasn’t going to bother and then have that potentially not resolve it either.
Anyone else experienced this?

Hopefully the expansions will be revealed at the June showcase with the first one launching soon after. What's the point in buying the ultimate edition for $150 if you can just wait and buy base for $40 and season pass for $40 🤷🏻♂️

Better to wait for a deal in the MS store as this is a Xbox Play Anywhere digital title which means you get 2 copies to play on Xbox and PC for the price of one. The only caveat is the Windows store which ain't a great experience compared to steam.
