I have never had a problem with them. I have probably done around 6 orders over the years.
So is there insider knowledge of this being disceptive behaviour on the part of Fishpond, or could it just be a case of a few too many mistakes?
They told me they were out of stock of PS3 Drakes Fortune, and cancelled my order.
Yet it was in stock at their retail price.
No mistake i can assure you.
On the last deal, fishpond REP told everyone that stock was out and thats why they couldn't honor the deal BUT they were selling the same game for $30 (at that time) and had it listed as being in stock.
So is that evidence of deceptive behaviour or a shitty website->stock inventory system?
Not making excuses for them…but could they not have multiple suppliers with different cost prices? Once they found they could not get supply at original suppliers cost price they simply continued to sell the same product from the second supplier at a higher cost price.
EDIT: I call this an mistake/error, not deceptive.
If it was a once off thing, i might buy it. But they've done this again and again.

Yes because mistakes can only occur once like lightning can only strike once… I do agree too many mistakes have been made, so it is definately a bummer for those that have had orders cancelled.

Do NOT deal with this supplier, even if they're offering 100% off. 3 transactions, 2 different deals, took the cash, and refunded days after cancellation notice.
And charging a Paypal fee…that should be incurred by the seller…dodgy as IMHO
Lots of businesses charge pay pal and credit card fees. Don't buy from them if it's that big a deal.
