Raw performance wise and excluding DLSS yes.
Have owned amd and nvidia over the years, currently have a 5700xt. I honestly don't think drivers and bugs are talked about often enough as its seen as something that can be fixed, but from my experience nvidia drivers have been much more consistent and have had less problems with my cards. If cards are borderline in performance/value comparison I would always pick nvidia as the driver support has been less of a headache in my experience. But YMMV (:
Also have 5700xt, first 6 months of drivers post launch were touch and go, but I haven't had any issues with it since then. Not sure how AMD is with current gen drivers.
Generally speaking, NVIDIA have had better driver stability (unless you use linux, in which case AMD is muuuuch better).
Completely opposite for me… Went from 0 issues and crashes on my 5600XT to CTD or freezes on my 3060, I've now had to DDU the drivers and install the newest Nvidia ones multiple times…
Totally agree with you - early days on 5700XT were super rough with terrible drivers and lots of instability, crashing etc.
I haven't had any driver issues for quite a while, but their tuning controls and general software is still pretty basic. I am happy pay a bit extra for the quality of Nvidia drivers, great features like DLSS and audio stuff, and other software.
My screen occasionally flickers with latest nvidia drivers
So, almost as good as 1080?
Better in raw performance but not by a large margin in most cases. However DLSS, RTX and the extra VRAM make it a much better option
At the end I chose 3060 Ti instead and bought one of TF prebuilt, don't know why seeing much less 3060 Ti deals compare to the rest, the performance jump is well worth to pay the difference compare to 3060. Most important for a bit of future proof …
3060ti is probably something that everyone is after
3060 ti stock will always be limited, because it is the best value card in price/performance it sells very quickly.
Because it is made from the same hardware as the 3070 and 3070ti, when yields improve Nvidia as an incentive to sell the same chips as more profitable higher tier cards.
Damn op been spewing gpu posts like there's no tomorrow…
Buy this asap, price going up soon, LHR fully unlocked
Increased to $579 plus shipping
