      I got one from the last time they were on sale. It's within ~1 degree C of my mercury thermometer at room temp. Reports my hot tap water at ~65 and electric jug water at ~90 just after it boiled. Seems actuate enough as most meats you want to cook between ~50 (rare) and 75 (well done / chicken)
