Be fast or be last!

In Cubitos, players take on the role of participants in the annual Cube Cup, a race of strategy and luck to determine the Cubitos Champion. Each player has a runner on the racetrack and a support team, which is represented by all the dice you roll. Each turn, you roll dice and use their results to move along the racetrack, buy new dice, and use abilities — but you must be careful not to push your luck rolling too much or you could bust!

  • Excellent game, well worth playing. Even my 7yo has beaten me a few times with it.

Your 7 year old must be very smart or their age recommended is a little out of whack. They reckon 14+ on the box. I guess BGG's community rating is 8+.

      • Yeh, she is really smart, but it's definitely 8+ for a normal kid. 14+ is a bit much, it's pretty much a simplified dice builder with a race track.

Not sure about this. The one bad review on Amazon doesn’t really motivate me to go for this. It comes from the US and it’s very likely arriving damaged like shown in the picture. I find this game more interesting (5 stars and 2137 reviews): https://www.amazon.com.au/Die-Quacksalber-Quedlinburg-Schmid…

    • I guess everyone's experience with Amazon is different but I've only ever received one (slightly) damaged item from them and it was a book that was a little creased. Amazon customer service is pretty good. Maybe they would offer a replacement if you asked them.

      • Fair enough. I think about it. The game might be a cracker but I’m not convinced yet. Yes they are quite good and often fix it in the chat. Had a huge toilet cleaner delivery and Pepsi max leaking and got all refunded before the chat was finished. Not sure about US products, if they treat them same.

        • About $5 more to get it directly from Amazon AU. Still a lot cheaper than other places right now.

        • It works the same although Amazon AU cannot directly replace, they will refund if there is a problem and you will have to rebuy the product

A single review about a "damaged box" (nothing to do with the actual game) that you can contact Amazon customer support to address really shouldn't be a major consideration in your purchase of the item.

    • Quacks of Quedlinburg has just as much chance of being damaged in transit.

We bought QoQ. As soon as we opened it and saw the amount of stuff and rules it was forever shelved, unplayed.

      • Is that because of you got the German version or is it bilingual?

      • +1

Quacks of Quedlinburg is great. If anything, a bit too simple though. The rules really are quite straightforward, and you can learn as you go. We just watched a 5 minute youtube video, then we were off. Our eight-year-old loves it.

  • It's showing $66.67+ $26.44 shipping from Amazon US.

    • Hmm. Do you have Prime?

      • Nope, so the title should have [Prime] tag.

        • Done.

    • See if you can buy it for $71.08 from Amazon AU. Could be an option.

    • Sorry for the SPAM. If you want to buy this game and the other one together from Amazon US you can get free postage. Just need to get over the $69 threshold. I tried while logged out and it went through OK.

      I PMed you as well.
