  • The offer for our Coles card is 10x Flybuys :(

    • mine is 5points for one dollar.

  • Ours is 5x flybuys :(

  • Is this a good card to have as a backup with there being no annual fee? I’m about to cancel NAB Visa and will only have an Amex

    • +1

I mainly apply this card so that I can redeem flybuys point for $10 without using the flybuys card
the initial $150 voucher to spend is also a bonus

Other than that, I never use this card as day-to-day spending
always using HSBC global debit if amount is less than $100 (2% cashback)
or use AMEX if amount is over $100 and AMEX is accepted

      • That’s why you received this offer. I was not targeted as I used this card regularly

      • Cheers, completely forgot about the HSBC card, will grab that one.

      • Yeah I'm the same, I only have this card so I get all the Coles Financial Services offers and really only ever use the card if one of those offers involves me needing to spend on the card.

Otherwise I pay at Coles almost exclusively by digital giftcard which I buy via ShopBack for at least 2% cashback.

  • Didn’t receive this offer :( holding no annual fee Coles card

  • Lucky you, I got $1 spent for 5 flybuys points

  • 10 points per dollar for me on the fee free card.
Normally never use for spend. But for 5% back, I'll use it this weekend.

Plus I've got $900 worth of points from repeated instalment plan offers in the last 12 months. Winning…..

    • What's the instalment plan offer?

      • Invite only deal by email and/or SMS. My Citibank card has been doing it too, so double winning.

Basically take $2,500 from them for six months at 0% pa & a small fee (was 0.9% = $22.50) and get 20,000 flybuys points ($100). Pay back in equal payments over six months. Doesn't affect normal spend and interest free period.

    • +1

      It's not this weekend.

I have 10 points per $1 spend, so it works out in 5% of what i spend back in points. With my sons employee discount card I'll stock up on dog biscuits and some other supplies

      • I meant I'll use it on the weekend listed, for this offer. English can be misleading.

  • i got this offer instead "On top of the points you already earn*, collect 5 Flybuys bonus points per $1 when you shop at Coles and pay with your Coles Mastercard between 7 and 8 May. Up to a maximum of 4,000 points (that’s $20 Flybuys dollars)." not sure which is better points or 5%?

    • 5%. You spend $400, get $20 cashback.

5x flybuys, you have to spend $800 to get 4000 flybuys points which you can redeem for $20 off a future shop.
