  • How much is shipping?

    • +1

$9.99, if the order exceeds $109, it will be free shipping, thank you!

  • Please advise your site users that you charge in USD and not AUD. Incorrect pricing on post!

    • We use $ price in the post, it is USD. thank you for your kind reminding!

  • This cost nearly as much as a replacement glass panel power points/light switches that have inbuilt wifi, looks crap and needs batteries to run…

Provide a video of this working with Australian style outlets/light switches (which are majority rocker types) please - otherwise the use case is quite small.

    • I doubt that is the normal use of these. They exist to enable or disable devices that are not normally remote controllable or accessible in Home Automation applications by "clicking their on/off toggle button". This could be someting like a wall switch on a heater or cooler. The Brivis networker comes to mind - it has a WiFi controller / app that's generally thought of as overpriced and useless. If the "comfort" level is preset then this device can tuen the NC6 on or off at designated times with a tool such as Home Assistant or Homekit etc.

It could toggle on / off other devices as well but that is one that quickly comes to mind.

The downside is, who wants an ugly wart attached to what is already an ugly controller on their wall?

I ordered one of the switch things. I got it for the garage door and security shutter buttons.if it works for that, I’ve got a couple of battery operated display piece things (animated Grogu and earth Vader that activate from a button switch and looks like it would work.

I don’t have it yet to know how successful it will be, but it’s can see plenty of use cases for it. And at $20 - why would you use it on a power pount or light when you can get cheaper smart bulbs, and cheaper smart sockets. Hell, you can even get a screw into a light socket adaptor to make a purpose specific dumb bulb work on something that defaults to off after a power cycle or is wired to be unavailable to other smart interfaces for some reason:

I don’t know if the thing works worth a damn. But plenty of use cases for it if it does. Mostly not relevant to rocker switches.

    • Yeah i have this and ive tried numerous times adjusting that thing you attach on the rocker switch and no luck. +1 on that video tutorial showing how to use with Au style switches would really help

      • It is not designed for rocker switches (although you could use two - one to click on and one to click off). You'd be better off getting a Deta GPO or light switch from Bunnings.

You could install a "bell press" light switch and this button presser would work, but again, better to install a smart switch if you are going down that path.

This thing works by the little arm popping out and pressing one button. The unit is stuck on with 3M tape and the arm thing has to be aimed so that it hits the desired button.

  • Bought one of these for automating an old ducted evaporative air con system. The arm wasn't quite long enough or powerful enough to push the button on the remote control but with a few little mods I got it to work. Have only tried hooking it up to Home Assistant on a RPi4 and there was a couple of seconds lag, maybe it's better via a hub or direct to a phone.
