    Quick review:

Felt like they were trying to remake The Dark Knight and got seriously side tracked. 6/10 film for me.

    • I think the latest style is to make these 3h movies to compete with series you can binge at home. Dune is another example, bit pointless but some cool effects. If they were broken into episodes I think people would expect a bit less. Sitting 3h in the cinema is a long time but people are happy to sit on the couch for longer.

The marvel series were probably a bit better like iron fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Having seen the movie in the cinema in Australia and now on HBO Max, I can tell you that the HBO version is censored.

In the Australian cinema release the F bomb is dropped at least half a dozen times. Not frickin/friggin, not a lesser variant, but the F bomb or use of it within another word (eg. motherf…….)

In the HBO version, not used once.

The movie would have been so much better if:
    a) Batman was prepared to kill
    b) Batman did the obvious to Catwoman

    • Any articles or a reddit thread or something?

    • You know, you're allowed to say (profanity) on the internet… You don't need to say F bomb or motherf

    • HBO version: 16:27 - Happy fkn Halloween.

This motivated me to sign up to HBO Max. I used the Brazilian HBO Max web site to sign up for 12 months ad free for $70.46 (R$ 239.90). I then installed the HBO Max app on my Apple TV using a US Apple account. My Apple TV is configured to use Smart DNS Proxy, so I can now stream HBO Max.

    • Which VPN are you using?
I've got Nord vpn which allows to "whitelist" app to bypass vpn assuming I keep it on all the time, but interested in that smart vpn instead.

Also someone above mentioned Columbia is $60. Any reason you went with Brazil?

      • Brazil was mentioned on a previous post and sounded like a pretty good deal to me

Keen to finish watching the Batman, Walked out after 2h in the cinema (was starting to drag on and not necessary to be 3h), liked the raw/underground more realistic take on it, but no doubt the joker was a fair bit better. Thought there would have been enough Batman movies..

        • The Batman was so bad I walked out of my own house.

          • @TEER3X: Ha, a lot of movies are pretty average these days, luckily it was a free event so no loss really.

HBO for the VPN deal is still better than paying for binge/Stan and there are other decent shows.. caught up on curb your enthusiasm and don't mind Tokyo vice.

    • So you give that company your IP address for them to add to their database? Is that safe?

The Batman, for the lovers of film noir and long running times.

  • Watch the extras on HBO, the led volume tech puts a new perspective on it
