Mirabella Genio Wi-Fi Power Plug with Dual 2 USB Port $11.60 Clearance @ Woolworths (Selected Store)

100

Last month, i bought some* at half price for appliance and phone charger. I've found even cheaper today at local Woolworth $11.60, looks like this is final sale price (annually), i guess the clearance will last until next Tuesday.

I am not sure the durability, many comment say it is not good, loud, but so far so good for mine.

My experience so far: I bought 4 of them last month.
2 out of 4 (50%), their USB charger is on/off randomly in a few minute, i've exchanged them.
1 out of 4 (25%) cannot turn on within 1 month, (I connected to slow cooker, for sure under 2.4kw 10A.)

and some woolies staffs say after 30 days /1 month no warranty

still It is slim design and can fit multiple one in a power-board. Alexa and google assistant is supported.

(i saw it still on sale today 28 April, i guess there is another week to go.)

  • I purchased one this afternoon. Going to use it to turn to kettle on a moment before I wake up to brew my beans I get from oz bargain 😅. Not sure how else to use it aside from scheduling the kettle. Let me know if you have any ideas

    • I guess it depends on your kettle, most kettles these days you need to physically press the button the kettle before it works, not just turn on the power.

you can schedule to turn on/off a group of non-smart lights

It could be useful for electric heating appliances like room heater, electric blanket, heated towel rail etc.

Currently using a smart switch to power on/off the charger for my Pixel to try and extend the battery life.
Was originally going to use Macrodroid/IFTTT to autodetect battery level but thought why not just keep it simple and set up a schedule on the switch instead? It'll do same thing but just based on timing rather than actual battery level.

      • I think schedule may use more power than event driven - specially you are not using but scheduled to turn it on .

  • Showing all as out of stock for me.

    • for me experience, you need to visit local store (if you can), online is all out of stock at the moment.

  • Energy monitoring?

    • there is no power monitoring, and usb port is not controllable.

  • Tuya?

    • +1

Yeah, all the Mirabella range are Tuya based.

  • +2

Can tasmota firmware be applied to it?

    • only via the serial flashing

  • There were lots of RGB Mirabella lights reduced at the local Woolies in Coolum. Assume a lot of the Mirabella products are on sale.
