I have bought a few of these in store in SA over the last few weeks. They scan at the lower price at the checkout.
I have not been able to pair these successfully to the app so I cant comment on the smart features. The difficulty in pairing probably explains why they have been on clearance for weeks.
They only pair when you have a 2.4ghz wifi network. At home i have a mesh 5ghz which might explain my issues.
as a cheap LED globe they are ok for rooms or areas where you dont need app control. If you want smart features spend extra for Philips Hue or LIFX which I own and use extensively in my home.
I did find that these were 2.4ghz only. Even after I set my mesh to only allow these to connect to 2.4ghz, they still had occasional connection problems. At this point they annoyingly flash rapidly so I hate these and understand why they're on clearance.
I have about a dozen Mirabella smart items and they work flawlessly for me, having said that I have an isolated 2.4ghz network for IOT…
I think connecting these to HomeAssistant now is significantly less fun than it used to be, due to needing a "Tuya Cloud" app.
Comes up as $25.00 for me in Vic 🤷♂️
