Get a MIPS or Wavecel
You may already know this, but spin was POC’s version of MIPS, though POC have recently formed a partnership with MIPS and will be using MIPS going forwards. I am not aware of any direct comparisons between the two technologies, but the POC spin helmets also did well on the Virginia tech helmet ratings. Helmets.org, which is a separate helmet safety advocacy site disputes the efficacy of MIPS and the accuracy of the testing methods. From my perspective, one of these rotational safety systems seems like a good idea and you might as well have it there in case it helps. I like the idea of the new spherical mips, but it’s not available at this price.
Yup, I'm of the opinion that MIPS or similar torsional impact systems should be incorporated into a revised AS/NZS 2063:2008 standard. The amount of additional protection it provides is frankly incredible for such a simple system.
At this point I refuse to buy any helmet without it, with the exception of extreme-impact helmets designed for BMX
