  • YAASSS!

First dabble into sending it and getting o-rested! <3

Edit: How does the camera compare to the celebrated 1inch sensor on the Air2s? This has a much bigger sensor it seems but f-stop is only 2.8. I'm guessing may be a non-issue for most as they may not be night-flying with this as it doesn't have any sensors AFAIK? Seems decent anyway for a cheaper carry-around for mostly day-ish use for most shorter-range scenarios.

It has down facing sensors, but you're not allowed to fly after civil twilight regardless of the number of sensors anyway

      • +1

Oh woah, I had no idea. And thanks for letting me know about the down facing sensors. That's a plus for me after already purchasing! πŸ˜…

  • Never used one. Out of curiosity, good for La NiΓ±a season? You know, watching the rain fall from a high vantage point. Makes for a spectacular sight methinks.

    • I think a lot of these commercial drones still aren't waterproof or even splashproof.. πŸ˜”

If it's raining and you send it, you're going to lose it.

  • That's cheap. For the cost of one NLAW, you could buy a hundred-odd of these, send to Ukraine where they do a simple mod with some Semtex, and you have a very effective armour piercing anti-personnel weapon. Single-use only, of course. Works until the Russians are all issued shotguns.

    • thanks for the instructions, will try now. cheers.

      • Oh, I ain't givin' out instructions. I know just enough to know it is possible, and there are people who can do it.
Or have I been watching too much Black Mirror?

        • metalhead is one of my favourite episodes!

  • Any real reason to go for one of these if I already have a DJI Spark with accessories? The third axis on gymbal and extra flight time seem like the biggest draw, but I recall it lost some of the intelligence from the Spark?

  • Thoughts on the 3 year extended care? It says something about liquid protection..

I just got mine from Kogan a week ago, but I noticed there's 2 packages linked to the 1 shipment. One came quite quickly, it was the drone/controller. I assumed the second delivery was for the battery to be shipped separately. But after finally opening the drone package a few days ago, I realised the battery was already inside.. What could be in the other strange small package linked with the drone I saw the delivery man holding on my video doorbell? πŸ˜…

    • same. do let me know if you get earlier, lol. will do the same. :)

      • +1

I Facebooked a drone group earlier.

Apparently it's just an Australian-prong USB charger.

        • +1

          good to know. Thanks mate.

          • @wildd: No worries, hope you're enjoying your drone! :3
