    Thats an expensive terminal strip!

I agree it is expensive but it's "slightly" more than just a terminal strip, it's also a relay with a delay…

It seems the idea is you connect the yellow to your ignition (which generally isn't capable of supplying enough power for multiple accessories), and the red to your battery, so when the ignition is turned on it switches the power on from the red battery wire to power up your accessories (so the power is being drawn straight from the battery and not through the ignition).. There's also a delay in there so I assume if you stall or such and flick the ignition off and back on your accessories stay powered up and don't get turned off…

It's a fairly neat solution, easier and cleaner than wiring up a relay and such…

      • Still way more than what it should cost, since you can get a time delayed 12v 20a switch in a nice case with input and output wires for around $10-15 delivered.

        • Do you have a link please?

          Just considering options.

@lordra: I suspect he's talking about this kind of thing:
            https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281033442628

IMO it's not really suitable, the wires certainly aren't capable of 20A by the looks of it.. If you're after a cheap arse solution for an old shitter yep fine, you could make that work, but if you're after a fairly neat purpose built and potted/waterproof setup for a half decent bike, $107 isn't bad for the item you posted… $107 to wire your accessories into a $10k+ bike, meh, it's not much money considering… Also, there's nothing worse than buying a second hand bike, pull the seat and side covers off and finding a birds nest of butchered half arsed wiring…

Why is so much of Australia excluded from this?

    I have a dirty mind…

that's expensive for a fuse box that does nothing, input and output voltage is the same, why not making one yourself, 2 package of fuses, a few meters of 12awg wire, silicon, all up maybe $15?

    • I would love to, I'm all for saving $$, but I have no idea how.

Seems very very expensive for what it is…
