DSE 16x AA Alkaline Battery Pack for $5.49 with Free Delivery

480

16 x DSE AA Alkaline Battery Pack for $5.49 delivered.
It works out to be a bit less than 35c per battery.
Not a bad deal at all if you need some non-rechargeable batteries.

edit: I just ordered 2 packs for $11 shipped. =)

Where I can dump those Exhausted batteries? Just in normal garbage bin?

    • +1

bad idea, have a look around, esp at battery stores. they usually have a free battery disposal thingo.

    • +6

just throw them down the gutter or flush into the toilet with your non-alkaline turds.

      • +8

Don't do that, I heard that they turn into 'gators or something in the sewers…that's no urban myth, my mate knows a guy who met a bloke who heard about someone whose uncle's buddy's friend said he really saw one…whilst drunk & stoned…oh, and tripping! Straight up! :p

        • +1

You had me at "my mate knows a guy who met a bloke" xd

        • legit source haha

    • Battery World, Ikea, local council maybe?

      • +1

The councils say small quantities can be put in your household garbage bin.

        • +6

Dumb councils don't know nuffin', I can actually fit heaps in my otto bin! :p

Just chuck em in the incinerator.

Thanks - just ordered 2 packs for pick up tomorrow (I know that it's free delivery but it's far out of my way to pick up)

    • +12

I do not understand your logic.

      • +3

Ha Ha - my crappy typing, brain goes faster than I can type.

What I meant to say is:

It's not too far out of my way and I can get them tomorrow.

        • I'm glad your brain goes faster than you can type. I would be worried if it was the other way around!

  • Bring back the Eneloops 8 Pack for $19.99!!

  • Use the Wish card check out, further 5% off.

These are $4.99 for a pack of 30 at Aldi.

    • Think those are "heavy duty" zinc-carbon batteries, not alkaline. IIRC Aldi 4 pack alkalines are $2.50, good deal, but these are cheaper.

  • You can get a pack of 50 at aldi, dont know about the price but I think there 31c each there

  • Thanks ordered 3, needed to feed all my Meritline camping lights ;)

  • i bought a 24 pack for $2.80 at a variety store. dont know if its better or worst than these

  • +1

Can't remember the last time I bought non Eneloop batteries.
The initial cost is higher but they pay you back with better performance and work out cheaper in the long run.

    • The charging time bothers me. If my mouse runs out, i don't want to have to wait overnight for the batteries to recharge.

      • Eneloops and other LSDs are compatible with fast chargers. Keep a couple charged up for when you need them.

      • +1

Thats what charged spares are for. If your non-rechargeables run out, you probably dont want to make a trip to the shops to get more either.

I have about 40 eneloops but, but to populate all the kids toys/torches/lamps etc I would need about a 100

      • +1

Yep, and kids lose/trade/destroy toys all the time…hard to keep track of those good eneloops then! ;)

    • Agreed but some products (especially toys) need 1.5v of a standard battery not the 1.2v Eneloops provide, so I always have a few non rechargeable as backups.

  • Thanks $5.50 seems neat price especially delivered ;) Needed my enelope batteries back for use in my 580 EX II flash hah..

Using these in a pepper / salt grinder

If you have a Bunnings near you, you can get a pack of 30 Varta AAs for $8.98, which makes it 29.8c each.

      29.93c actually :)

Had some fairly new (well within date) DSE alkaline leak on me n wrecked my cycle light..NO from me

    • -6

Jeez what idiot negged for the truth about a product !!! too funny :)

      • +1

I have also had DSE leak, they were the only batteries i have had leak thus far.

    • I've had leaking Duracells and Energizers. So these can't be any worse right?

  • -1

seldom for me to see battery deal,it seems a good deal and I like free delivery

  • Anyone had any experience with these leaking? I've had too many batteries leak and corrode the terminals in remote controls, toys, etc. to risk it anymore. I won't even use Duracell anymore because I bought a large pack and nearly all of them leaked.

  • -1

Good deal - a month ago they had 40x AA for half price $12 which was a steal!

  • -1

    awesome price considering free delivery

  • -2

EXCELLENT DEAL. THANK YOU. I just needed some new batteries for my vibrator. 48 batteries for $16.47. This is a good deal delivered.

  • If you buy lots of alkaline batteries, http://www.rezap.com.au/ is worth a buy. It charges alkaline too (only a few times - but still better than just throwing them out after one use).
