Funny how the prices and availability have seemed to coincide with mining profitability.

Are Shopping Express ok to buy from, as in not dodgy?
Has anyone ever had to do a warranty return with them? Can vouch for the store. I, too was initially worried but didn't have a single issue. Item shipped and arrived on time, item was as described and no damage.
Haven't had to do a warranty return though.
I had to do a warranty return for a dead PSU and they were fairly quick in sending me the return label (within a few hours of my email). The refund took about 3 days for them to process after they received it, not bad considering it was right before the Christmas period.
799 would be the sweet spot for this card for me to even consider it.
These are about this price since 2 weeks and continue to remain or reduce. No deal here.
Corgito ergo hodl
My Latin is a bit rusty, "queen's favourite dogs, therefore wait a bit longer"?
I've got a Dell 2721DS AMD Free-Sync monitor… so will this 3070ti support the Free Sync? I thought nvidia had g-sync or something.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FreeSync#List_of_supported_dis…
"NVidia 10-series, 16-series 20-series and 30-series GPUs with driver version 417.71 or higher support FreeSync."
So, yes indeed it will work. That display is only 75hz however, not a huge jump up from 60hz, but could be noticeable/beneficial.
given whats been happening lately with GPU prices, 40 series needs to be either really powerful or great value for people to be enticed to upgrade or purchase.
Think about it, by the time 40 series released and widely available, we may well have $1000 3080 12g available to us.
I last spent under $700 for a brand new GTX 1080 that is still trucking along. I would prefer not to spend more than that much on whatever I upgrade to whenever that might happen. A 3070 ti for around $700 might just fit the bill! Will wait and see if they make it that low, or go out of stock forever before making it that low.
Accounting for some inflation, suppose you'd be willing to pay a little more than that.
8gb is really unacceptable for 2022 in terms of future proof but what can you do, just gotta think about the opportunity cost.
The 1080 is holding up OK even on a 165hz 1440p display at the moment. But I'm not exactly cranking out the latest AAA titles (nor do I care to usually). I suppose if I tried to run something that wasn't breaking 60fps consistently, then I'd consider coughing up for a newer card. But I've been conditioned into not caring about new GPUs for 2 years. What's another year? ;D
@JownehFixIT: I've got Elden ring so I'm currently running GTX 1060 3Gb. Feel my pain.
My other components are currently but I've been holding out.
Getting real itchy LMAO
I guess these price drops are finally really happening.
