I have the one dengziyi linked to and think it’s the biggest piece of shit. Never seen a microwave take so long to melt cheese.

Different model or not, I won’t buy a LG again.

    • Might not be the same most but F Harvey Norman.

  • Got this at the Myer sale 2 -3 months back for $245 with commbank rewards

Before buying this I would suggest making sure it's not a blackout door. I bought the Samsung 40L and didn't realise you couldn't see shit though the door while it's cooking. The most stupidest Microwave ever made. Sold it straight away.

I now have the westinghouse 40L microwave and it's awesome. $171 on good guys commercial.

I have this model, I can confirm you can see inside while it's running / lights on.

    • What’s wrong with blackout door? How come you want to see food while in microwave?

Checking your food not spilling over when it’s heating up

In case what you're cooking burns. boils over or decided to paint the walls inside the microwave

  • Factory seconds $200 here
    decent price if you're local.

  • Bought one cheap from a similar deal in 2020 and it died within 12 months. Couldn't even be bothered claiming warranty because it's a POS so it's now landfill.

    • Also had mine die (except it was about a week outside of the 2 year full warranty, but it was the magnetron which has a 10 year parts warranty). Took it to the authorised service place about 15 minutes away.

They took it, and replaced the magnetron within about 10 minutes and handed it back to me free of charge.

  • I got this model from Home Clearance about 2 weeks ago for $230. Have been quite impressed with it.

  • Bought this one May 2020, crapped out 2 months ago. Amazing design, works well when it does but definitely has reliability issues. A friend had the same model which started having issues within weeks, replaced with the same model. LG has good aftersales service though as ours is being repaired free of charge at the moment. Just keep the receipt if you're getting this one! Oh and we got ours for $249, bloody inflation hey

    • Mine had the magnetron replaced two weeks ago. Was changed free of charge, just outside of the 2 year warranty, and took them less than 10 minutes

  • Bought a fancy LG Neochef microwave few month back. I should check reviews first. it's Wifi / bluetooth killer. so, check the users review first!

  • been looking for a large microwave, and I'm so disillusioned by the choices.
'Choice' reviews are a grain of salt, because they don't count for durability (ie will it die after a year?).
Reading 'ProductReview' seems pointless, with such wide ranging reviews on almost every model, it's kinda like 'luck of the draw'.
As recommended above i researched wifi killers, and died on the inside when reading whirlpool https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2735289
Not to mention that right now: sale or discount prices are so high, probably due to sanctions or covid or whatever.
