Our very own Tassie ink maker moved premises recently and spent two weeks offline. To thank their loyal customers (or anyone else who wants to become one, for that matter) they're offering 15% your next order. There's no expiry date so I'm assuming this is a one-time deal.
Shipping is extra and starts at $10 for regular post, domestic orders over $100 qualify for free Express Post, international orders over $200 get free standard shipping.
Here are answers to some common questions I get about these inks:
Does it bleed through paper?
I personally haven't had trouble with bleeding, but I also tend to use thicker paper that is less prone to it. I've tested on normal copy paper and it behaves well, and it's excellent on Rhodia, Tomoe River, or Clairefontaine. I haven't tried Moleskine or Field Notes paper.
Does it feather?
I have seen some feathering on very fibrous papers, smooth papers don't feather at all for me. If you're concerned then try using a finer nib, if possible.
Is it water resistant?
No. If it gets wet it will run, but for some people that's actually a benefit as they can use it for a wash as well.
What sizes can you get?
Van Dieman's stocks 30ml and 50ml sizes for most of their inks. You'll often find 50ml is out of stock as they have trouble with a reliable supply of the bottles.
I wanted a Tasmanian kitchen sink, I was disappointed.
