Razer Basilisk V3 Ergonomic Wired Gaming Mouse, Black

$67.65 (was $78.00)

Takes a while to arrive (ordered one April 3d, arrives on the 21st. Fastest delivery 8-13th)

The Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed Wireless is also down to $64

    • Yeah but why not a few more dollars for rgb ;)

wireless is so much better though. the lack of drag from mouse cable makes a huge difference

        • The cable in this mouse is excellent: light and flexible, so you shouldn´t have any noticeable issues, and even if you are picky, you could completely remove the drag by purchasing a mouse cable bungee.

Wireless introduces other issues that for me are much worse. Even when latency/desync has apparently gotten much better in today's gaming mice, you still have:
          a) To charge your mouse from time to time.
          b) A relatively heavier mouse due to batteries.
          c) Depending on the mouse, you might encounter battery degradation over the years (though not as big of an issue here as with smartphones).
          d) A significant price premium for little gain.

And at the end of the day, if you were so damn serious of a competitive shooter gamer (which 99% of people here probably are not), you would not be buying a heavy mouse like the Basilisk anyways. For casual gamers, I'd rather get a comfortable, wired mouse any day unless money is not a concern.

  • is it really worth to upgrade if you have basilisk v1?

Probably not unless your mouse is faulty and/or you really, really, really want the hyperscroll.

I mean, it's definitely an improvement and maybe more durable, but I wouldn't pay full price again if you already have a working V1. Though if you manage to sell it second hand for a good price, why not. If you are fine with your V1 for now, I'd say keep and wait to check what Logitech comes up with as a successor for the G502.

      • yea after looking at the specs i dont see an actual upgrade except for the hyperscroll feature which isnt a necessity for me.

  • Im using this now after spending a lot on many different mouses, this is the best gaming mouse if you dont mind the cable

  • Love this mouse

  • Is there any such mouse that is :
    1. Wireless
    2. Multi-device support
    3. RGB

    • +1

There are probably others, and you should research them to confirm the specs, but: Cooler Master MM731, Asus Rog series (like the Keris or the Gladius II), Steelseries Rival 3 Wireless, maybe the Roccat Kone Pro Air…

That said, don't expect the most amazing RGB lighting on wireless mice. Wireless mice often focus on weight and battery life, and fancy RGB means more weight and more battery consumption.
