It's not as good as 2c/kg but not far off. Great for those near the south. Excellent quality. Not too ripe. Just right.

I would buy a heap and make banana bread then freeze it,
Makes sense you can make so much bread with the dough you save with this deal
Underrated comment
I would buy a heap, peel them, then freeze. Remove from the freezer when you're ready to make banana bread.
these prices are bananas
No deal, this is 4 times more expensive than the last banana post :)
Saves many $ on PETROL for those living close by⛽
For me, only a few km away & can catch bus there, whereas 2c Deagon Deal is a 66k return drive.
Free is better. Growing my own - banana plant suckers escaped under neighbour's fence. No work needed - grow like weeds. Have a few bunches about to ripen🍌
Yeah I was joking Bruce, hence the upvote.
Wish I lived in Queensland. I'm a simple guy, give me cheap bananas & I'm happy.
Yes, I could see the ";-)" 😉
Added comment as some may agree that over 4 times price makes this unworthy of being a Deal ;-)
Bananas are out of control here - with months of wet weather☔
But cheap bananas won't last long. Like my small crop - it's a lot for a short while, then none available. Will freeze the excess.
We went through almost 15kg of bananas which cost $1 from the VIC deal. Had the nutribullet running everyday for a week producing some great smoothies.
Great price for a beautiful bunch of ripe bananas
A few people were purchasing six foot, seven foot, eight foot bunch
The store was pumping and they opened a register but had to wait a while for the tally man to tally me bananas
Watch none hide the deadly black tarantula
Why are my local places still charging $5 kg
Cheap bananas are an occasional perk of living in QLD or Northern NSW. Doesn’t really make up for the floods though.
Freight and margins. At those places they are selling at those prices they are losing money also.
Bananas are cheap everywhere at the moment for some reason.
Someone bought all the Bananas, I went there and there were none left.
In case you're NOT a baker?
Frozen bananas are AMAZING in blender-smoothies!
You're welcome.
;)
Also 9c/kg at Gabba Fruit Market at Woolloongabba.
There were no 2c per kg at Deagon yesterday afternoon. Some crazy price on lots of other fresh fruit and vegetables though.
Won't be driving to Sunnybank or the Gabba though just to find the same thing.
Well the price is ripe
