pretty damn good.

I bought 1.15kgs and it was rounded down to 2cents.

probably so cheap because they are bent.

      What's yellow, bent, is a big fat lie and costs5.5 $billion. Australia's non-existent submarines.

My friend thought it was surprising that humans eat more bananas than monkeys.

I didn't think it was that surprising because I don't know anyone who eats monkeys.

Well that's Scomo's and Joyce negging me. What about the rest of you.

    • +1

      it is a sweet deal

  • +13

Are they free if you try to pay cash (2c)? Lol

    • -3

No. You get thrown out for trying to take advantage of a small business's extremely generous offer.

I saw that sign the other day when I was on my bike and I thought 2c a kilo? That ridiculous 🤣

      • +6

I actually did, I live in Deagon near the Sandgate District High School. I ride past there all the time on my morning ride and actually rode past there this morning

      • Stalker?

    Why so cheap?

Govt sponsoring? As an offset for the petrol?

Bananas grow like weeds in back yards around Brisbane. Especially with all the rain. Have a few bunches ripening, so not worth buying at the moment!

    The price gone bananas!

Yeah. Because dumb ass racism is cool!

    • The real deal is on Thursday. That free bag of bananas could save me 2 cents.

      • It says bag, not purse.. 😅 You could fit a good 8kg in a Supermarket bag. 😁

  • If anyone has a pet elephant they would love these

    • +7

No one has a pet elephant so its irrelephant

      • I want a pet elephant.

If only I could take some back in time to 2011 I would be rich…

  • I looked at some of their other stuff, it's so cheap lol, but yeah I'm not in QLD, it's a 9.5 drive!

But wonder how they're sourcing so much cheap vege and fruit, and also how are you even making any money from it.

    • +3

They make money from it because people from 9.5 hours away find out they exist and want to drive to their store.

  • +2

Did you try and haggle any lower?

  • Spudshed better let me price match this!

  • +1

This place is open 24/7 by the way.

  • If only they could deliver interstate😅

  • +3

I broke my spine trying to fit the bananas into a paperback.

    • +3

Anyone recommend any good novels / paperbacks to stick these in? War and Peace?

  • +2

I might buy them and convert them to biofuel for my car

  • +2

Waiting for them to pay me to take them

  • You know it’s a hell of a deal if it reaches to OzBargain!

  • +1

The video says only Thursday and Friday, will it be available during the weekend?

I thought I got a good deal on Thursday at my local in Oxley 15kg box for $1 🤭

  • Ordered last time with Afterpay and didn't like the shape. Taste is reasonable but wouldn't buy again. It is a great deal if you like the shape.

  • Bananas are obviously cheap atm. We thought 1 Cent each was a good deal last weekend in Aspley!

  • Calamvale IGA, 9c, still very cheap

    • It’s a lie.

      • lie for what?
        I have the receipt.
        9c per kg.
I spent 7c for less then 1 kg

  • So I just stick the bananas in a paper back book and they ripen? Geez I've been doing to wrong all these years…
