  • Damn.

  • Amazing!

Not bad… until SB beat 'em again. HOLD 'til Saturday 😁

      • +6

I’m more of a Cash Rewards user. Not a big fan of SB

        • What's your experience with CR cf. SB?

          • +4

@muwu: I’ve always found CR to be better in payouts and also when things done get tracked. SB I’ve had some issues with things not getting tracked and then when I’ve contacted them it was a hassle

          • +4

@muwu: SB also had a huge data breach couple years ago and did little to address community concerns.
            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/568593
They removed and plastered over any negative reviews on numerous websites and went on a campaign of buying people back with bonus offers and increased CB, some didn’t always pay though)
I still recieve spam (calls and emails) i can tie directly to that breach.

      • +4

        Why not use both.

        • -3

Don't need that much booze that quickly. Will take SB's greater cashback

          • +7

            @muwu:

            Don't need that much booze

            You're doing it wrong

  • My fav whisky is $22 more than competitors and OoS at my local

    • Lark?

      • +1

        Aberlour 12

        • Showing $102 for me, so $72 after cashback. Pretty good deal.

You should try the NCF version if A12 is your fave.

          • @kickling: $72 but no stock at my local

          • @kickling: Are you referring to the A'bunadh? That's my fave so wondering if I'll be disappointed with the 12 or not.

            • +2

@thestig: No, although Abunadh is a must have in my shelf.

There is an A12 non chill filter version that has recently become readily available online here in Aus. From memory the ABV is 48%.

You won't be disappointed in the regular A12 but you won't be happy either. I won't be replacing my A12 when it gets killed.

Just me? All the spirit specials are wine?

    Website & app 🤦‍♂️

    • me too

  • +2

Wild turkey American honey $29 after cashback is good, most other things are overpriced

    • +1

Old fashioned without the sugar syrup? Or is it too sweet to drink straight

      • +1

Drink straight with a few ice cubes or just put the bottle in the freezer first.

  • +2

would be better if Everyday Rewards had a deal at the same time. Even with 35% off, compared to Flybuys and upsized cashback deals this isn't quite as good.
BWS website is shocking to use too. The search function is terrible.

    • +4

      gets big discount. complains.
typical of where Australia is heading.

      • -4

        meh

      • +1

There's has been tracking issues in the past for lots of people when bws did a big %CB promo

So you are left with a very ordinary deal if CB doesn't come through

        • +1

No issues with this/mine. Tracked in 10mins after purchase

            @kizashi: Point missed…

  • +2

Andddd holding off on the 18% was the correct decision lmao

    • +1

Lol, if you are referring to the triple stack, the end result was about the same ($35 back in value) on a ~$100 spend

But at least you got $10 off & 2k pts if CB failed.

    • Not really.
      $30/bottle for 2x Maker's Mark pretty good

  • Awesome upsize, will see if I've got anything on Rewards but if not I'm sure I'll find something xD

  • -1

is cashback eligible with $10 off $50 spend for new customer sign up?

    • Yes. That's what the deal says and what the email shows

    • +6

      OMG, read the OP.

    • RTFM

$94.28 spend to maximise the $30 cap.

    • +5

This should always be in the main post or pinned to top.

    • The real MVP

    • I spent $90 incl. GST and got $30 cashback tracked

    • Thanks
      Just spent $92.

Close enough for me to get maximum cashback

      • +1

Just tracked $30 cashback for $92 spend.

I'm not sure how to work it out, but it's definitely maximum cashback

  • Is it a new way to increase beer prices with some having the vegan symbol ?

    • All booze is vegan in my books 😀
Goats are good for $50.. $40 before cash back

      • How can they claim vegan if the beer has goats?

        • Ha

  • damn…..champagne is ineligible.

    • +1

      waiting on this too

      • Same here. Is it a unique code or generic?

        • +1

I just got the $10 code - the email says it's unique.
When I applied the code, it's showing $0 discount however…

          • +2

@jetcat: Had the same - when you click confirm, the discount will show on the payment method screen. Really is a bad website…..

    • +5

It used to be generic, try this: S8n3-T4p-e7u

      • yep that works (on the next screen).

      • +1

        Thank you!

  • Grabbed a bottle of Glenmorangie 10yo for $58 after cash back. Lovely.

  • Any whisky recommendations around the $100 mark?

    • What whisky do you normally drink (if you do drink whisky)?

      • New to the whisky game, but I've really enjoyed the Jameson caskmates stout edition and Westward.

        • +2

Try Ailsa Bay or Glendronach 12 around the $100 mark. Good whiskies and great value after cashback.

Once you get in to whiskies a bit more, I highly recommend Islay whiskies. Peaty and great complex whiskies. Enjoy the process of learning about whiskies.

      • aerstone sea cask 10 year old is good for an affordable one.

    • Very subjective.

Deals to stack on that I can see are JW18 and Monkey Shoulder.

Whisky I'd be happy to keep on the shelf are Aberlour 12. Talisker 10. JW15. Bruichladdich Laddie.

    • Depends what type of whisky you like. Blended vs Single Malt, if you like Single Malt, which regional whisky do you like?
Glenmorangie 10y is a good one for those are who are new to whisky as it's easy to drink and sweet.
If you like islay whisky, can't go wrong with Laphroaig, Ardbeg.

      • Those smokey/peaty whiskies are going to be a bit full on for a new whisky drinker!

        • He/She didn't say whether they are new to whisky, which is why I suggested Glenmorangie if they are new to whisky.

          • @keejoonc: They literally said "i'm new to the whisky game"

            • +1

@jellykingdom: Oh well. It wasn't there when I posted my original comment. See timestamp.

              • +1

                @keejoonc: Gotcha! My bad

Regardless i definitely dig Ardberg, but also love me some Glenmorange Nectar D'or

    • Thanks all, I'm trying the Aberlour 12 yo double cask!

  • +1

Cashback is ineligible on champagne, Penfolds, and non-alcoholic products (sparkling wine is eligible).

What manner of BS is this? I gave up drinking 4 years ago and only buy NA beer. Won't be buying from BWS ever again and will be letting them know why.

    • Might be worth checking, I think non-alcoholic beer is OK and this mainly refers to soft drink etc.

      • Yep I've messaged the rep

        • +2

Hi. Apologies for the slow response, but needed to wait for confirmation. Non alcoholic beer is fine. The non alcoholic exclusions listed in the terms refers to mixers, soft drinks etc. Hope this helps.

  • +1

Thanks, the only time I buy Stone and Wood is when these deals are running

  • Taylors St Andrews has $20 off so two of them for $110 down to about $85 is a steal

  • damn, can't use the the new sign up $10 coupon with the 25% of 8 craft beer deal…

    • Interesting, I was just about to comment for those looking to try a range of beers without spending too much this was a deal I used to take advantage off combined with cashback. I think you might be able to add more singles (more than 8) to reach the $50 minimum spend?

      https://bws.com.au/productgroup/craft-mixed-8-pack

    • +2

You definitely can, make sure to press confirm and go to the very last page of the checkout and it'll apply the $10 discount.

You need to spend $50 after the 25% off is applied to get the further $10 off.

      • Your right, said $0 discount until I confimed… Thanks for that.!

  • how do you get the $10 off code for new sign ups? wife just signed up for an account but no code.

    • +5

It used to be generic, try this: S8n3-T4p-e7u

      • yep, I got the same code…

      • +1

Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon code (unless I'm not doing something correctly).
