On what basis is it overpriced? RRP I agree is a bit of a scam but market prices for this premium tablet seem reasonable.
how do you judge it overpriced? i think the market price of $6xx is such a bargain compare to the iPad. the iPad cant even make calls
Sweet nabbed the wifi version from kogan!

and every review I have read highlights the cost of this tab as a negative.
Overpaying by $200-300 for a generic Android tablet is not happening imo. Wow it can make phone calls - but then I already have my smartphone to do that anyway.
But for someone who's upgrading and couldn't decide to get a tablet or phone, they can get this (if not the Galaxy Note).
And it's not so generic because of Touchwiz which according to sites like The Verge that it actually makes tablet-using much better.
Overpaying $200-$300 for a generic Android tablet?
So in your opinion, this tablet is worth….$209-$309??????
Ah…..u picked up the older tab for $270

I hope the new iPad3 reduces the price of the SGT. picked up the orginal tab 7 3G from JB HiFi for $270
Nice detective work. Original Tab RRP $1000, bought it for $270 talking JB down even further from $299. Now go see eBay, Original tab still sells for $300 secondhand. I'm running ICS rom on it, and it hands down beats Honeycomb and Touchwiz that the 7.7 runs. Anyway, my assumption is RRP of $6xx takes this to between $300-$400. Its my opinion its overpriced. Now Google is your friend, so type in "Galaxy Tab 7.7 overpriced" and continue your detective work. For what its worth, I gave this deal a positive because the price will appeal to some.
Like I said, RRP I agree is overpriced (like any Android device really) but market prices i think are relatively fair.
And I would hardly call it generic when it is still one of the fastest tablets on the market and has a SAMOLED+ screen. That coupled with the lightweight formfactor make it very unique in a sea of oversized underdone tablets.
i really hope that samsung can release a 10 inch super amoled tablet. i went to office work and found that the 7.7 is too small. not the best tablet for web browsing and movies.
i was checking for some screen protectors and sorted the price by high to low in ebay…
1st result is $1499 for a non 3g model and they are saying 5 Star Services Included — Competitive Price ($) :P

Good price from Kogan. Same as DWI a few weeks back who had $529 with free delivery.
I suspect this tablet will only get cheaper as it is severely overpriced, and competition with new Toshiba 7 inch and rumors of a (mini) iPad 7 inch will only make this cheaper again.
