is this super high speed disk really needed for PC gaming?
I'm using dirt cheap M2 NVM from Crucial P2 atm and I feel it's fast enough to load OS and Games.

Prolly not, more like interacting with huge files. like 10gb +

Unless you value your time extremely highly ;)

  • It is would fit if i install for my ps5 ?

    • Yes, it can but you need to remove the heatsink and it's easy to remove it.

      • Do i have to buy another heatsink ?

        • Don't get this for PS5. This is designed for PC with water cooling.

    This seems really unnecessary

It's an excuse to get water cooling kit for a PC. If you ended up making a mess and broke everything, another excuse to get a brand new PC.

  • My Samsung 970 pro runs pretty hot even with a normal heatsink and that's normal according to most people on Reddit.

Water cooling could be a bit of an overkill tho.

    • Water cooling an SSD is like, peak overkill.

  • there's speed difference til Gen4 released

but now all companies saying its speed is 7,000 mb/s

    what happened?
