After all those $2 HJ burgers & fries, we may have put on some weight.
Only women in the promo, so are they interested in guys?
We're not advertising - we're interested in you! Sure!
Not sure I would ever wear Target brand jeans.

  • lol nice point made brucefromaussie

  • don't waste your time - the market research companies are doing this for 1-2 hours for Target and are paying $150 for your time

    • I'm shocked! But these nice people are giving me a $10 voucher for my private information and a personalised sales session. LOL

If anyone is interested in this promo. Don't really see the deal.

  • "Target Australia is calling on adult men and women from around the country to participate in Australia's first and largest national sizing study using sophisticated international three dimensional (3D) technology

Target has partnered with the world's leading apparel fit expert Alvanon and is bringing a state of the art 3D AlvaScan machine to Australia that will measure consumer's bodies in less than 60 seconds, providing them with a take home print out of their exact measurements. Target plans to scan up to 20,000 Australians while the 3D machine is travelling around Australia, giving people in the capital cities in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia the chance to participate."

    • Thats a good laugh - maximum hype (sounds more like a promo for a movie - with deep male voice over), but its just promo for their new range. Designed for maximum media attention - expect TT & ACA coverage as a real story - how Target is helping Australians!!
(My 3D machine is my wardrobe - can I still fit into my old clothes after too many HJ burgers & discount Easter eggs?)
Its not as if they are collecting data for next seasons range - this is purely marketing. Buy the Target brand clothes that almost fit you, not develop clothes designed to fit Australians as the "National Size Survey" would imply.

Hmmmm they give you a printout of your exact measurements this could be really handy for my internet shopping addiction something tells me though that's not what Target had in mind for its use lol

      • As long as they have not developed their own measurement system only for their clothes!

      • This is what appeals most to me too..

Bah! A waste of time! They just need to make 2 sizes. Small and XXL.

Can't fit into a Small? Sure, here's a couple of $2 HJ vouchers to get you going into an XXL, problem solved. :P

If they wanted to know "what size australians are" they'd just monitor their stock levels. Which they already do.

I call bullcr*p. As noted above it's probably advertising their new range.

  • it would take me about an 1hr and a half to get to the nearest location, i do wish i could go though!
