Uniden DECT 3015 for $24.50 at DSE KippaRing QLD

30

went in to buy a uniden battery for my other handset.

battery cost $25.

I ordered a battery from HK 2 weeks ago and it is still not here and current phone battery life is terrible and fustratingly short. to the point of intolerable.

Saw this Dect 3015 uniden handset for $24.50.

This was a half price offer for this model.

new handset or battery?

  • If it says cordless phone, does it mean that I can plug it into the telephone socket in the wall (i.e. not a handset that just connects to the main base station)?

Yes, you need to plug it into the telephone socket in the wall, and also a power socket.

I'm '+'ing this coz it literally is cheaper than buying a replacement battery, but Uniden are notorious for shite batteries, so you'd better have contingencies for the batch of next dead cells!

I would never have another Uniden cordless for that reason…Panasonic FTW IMHO! :)

    • haha just checked the battery prices, certainly wouldn't be buying the replacement from DSE $24.95!
Probably cheaper around but gadgetcity $12.99 del.

      • I bought a new battery off ebay for $3 del from HK. but waiting for the post is a pain.

I couldn't justify $24.95 for a replacement battery when a whole new handset is cheaper.

  • Having more expensive accessories only makes the phone look cheaper, however I don't think it necessarily make a bargain.

Almost most entry jet printer are cheaper than buying the cartridges alone, but it's simply because cartridges are way too much.

I still prefer brands use general AAA rechargable batteries. For those with special battery, you can expect the company tend to make more profit from the battery and in turn make them less durable.
